iam thinking on selling my GnR machine. what's a fair price to ask for? I would say it's in really nice condition. very little play . playfield really nice shape. about a 8.5 to 9.

I would start around $6k. Also, you may want to cover up the flipper wear areas as this is a cheap fix and a real turn off for any potential purchaser. I also recommend the translucent rubbers on GnR or red.

#2202 2 years ago

Thanks Pinballjah . can you tell me the website to order those translucent rubbers or a kit from please?

That's a great idea with the Duff ball. I didn't like to use these "name" balls on the game as they seem lighter and you can't really see the names when moving around during game play. Perfect place for it!

Yea for $6 from back alley creations. I wouldn’t use them for reg play but the captive area is just right & it records the duff target hits easily. The pinball life tub of translucent rubber is awesome, great quality & I did 3 games with them. The kits they sell only come in black or white. The colored post sleeves are from Cliffy, great also for high traffic areas. Easy to clean.

I would go with Titan pinball.

I have 1st version shooter black ramp. Have adjusted shooter left & right but every 4th or 5th ball it hits right side or ramp. You can see in the pic where blue arrow is that there is a nick in the wire form. Not a consistent problem but annoying. Any ideas out there? Maybe try to spread the wire form wider without breaking the welds? Tough call here.

Can you take a pic further away? Curious of the overall wireform

So it hits the 1st U shape on the wire form.

#2211 2 years ago

Call me crazy but it looks like your first U ring coming off the R ramp is too close to the exit. Here is mine, which appears to be a couple inches down the wire form. Maybe your pic is a bad angle and I can’t tell

In the jungle baby

New cab decals, new plastics, topper, pinsound, colordmd

Things to diagnose:
Left flipper not working (I’ll dive in soon, I’m sure I can figure it out (I hope)
Pinsound takes 5 minutes to start working (anyone know why, or a fix?)

This has nothing to do with R ramp.

#2215 2 years ago

So if your U ring is fine (and is not less than 1” away from the R ramp exit) then I got nothing. My U ring is at least 2” away and works perfect

#2216 2 years ago

This post was about the shooter ramp. My R is fine.

Game looks great! For pinsound, you probably have several different sound files on your USB. It’s loading each one at start up. I just have one and it takes maybe 30 seconds.

Thank you, it belonged to my friend. Over the course of a few years, I went over to his house, we had a few beers and worked on his machine. He’s moving and offered to sell me the game. Gonna miss that guy being around.

I guess I’ll dive into the pinsound fun this weekend.

My lower left flipper is not working, I checked fuses at the flipper board, all good... checking schematics

Sometimes around Black Friday, sometimes end of year, but I don’t think they have any just floating around.

#2224 2 years ago

Anyone know if these new CPR playfields are digital print or silk screened? Also aren’t the J A M inserts at top supposed to be yellow, in the pic they are white.

Same on ‘Dizzy ball’ yellow but appears clear in the pic

#2226 2 years ago

CPR have confirmed the inserts are clear… but something is better than nothing! I’m glad it’s happening!

#2227 2 years ago

Use Yellow LEDs?

-1
#2228 2 years ago

It's obviously not the same, but it would still look good. I wonder how many of the botched playfields they ran. If you can pick one up for half price, I'd say go for it!

#2229 2 years ago

I don’t know, I put red LEDs in the ROCKs because the white was too blinding. Red looks awesome. Not giving CPR a pass tho, that is a major F up. But if you got a jacked Playfield its the only one in town. My is good enough not to pull the trigger. And I can say, im never buying Mirco after all the crappy nonsense I’ve seen from them

#2230 2 years ago

I just received my Cpr GNR playfield in the post today and i can confirm the Dizzy ball and Jam inserts are yellow like my original playfield.

Has anyone downloaded the Pinsound orchestration "ViperVS16.zip"? I really like it but find the levels really loud and wondered if anyone else noticed this? Thanks.

Does anyone have a picture of how these plastics are connected? Hex spacer? Also the blue one seems to bend a lot up over the scoop when I tried to rest fit them. Worried about it breaking.

I used the hex spacers then cut rubber post sleeves to go over them, takes the shock of the ball hits & violent scoop kick out.

#2237 2 years ago

I wonder if the top of my scoop just needs to be bent down from all the years of play. It’s as high as the post behind it.

I bought a Pinsound from a buddy and got it hooked up. I have been unable to download from the pins site. It keeps telling me to check Email for a link to verify. I have yet to receive any emails...
Could someone share a Pinsound package with me?

I wouldn’t bend the scoop, you can raise the rear plastic to level it out with a threaded 6/32” spacer, then put more spacers between the starburst & Axl plastic. The threaded spacers are pretty common, basically a coupling threaded all the way through.

#2245 2 years ago

So wait, cpr is making 2 types of playfields? Why would they print ones with stock colors then move to jacked ones like yours?

#2246 2 years ago

I have correct color inserts, the lower ones are off. They ran out of the yellow stipple ones for the JAM & dizzy inserts so they used white or clear.

Once this ramp goes out of stock; I'll be taking additional pre-orders for our next Pinball.Center group buy whenever that will be. (likely in Sept)

I made a pinsound mix over the weekend with only live stuff - except for Coma. It makes for a good secondary mix. And with the headphone station, it's super easy to go back and forth. Here's a link if anyone wants to try it out.

And here's an admittedly terrible video of it, but you get the idea
