I am very busy making Mandalorian pro wireforms and they are my priority, but I got a standard gnr machine and some ideas. I am a lunatic and enjoy making things. I do not like the look of the catwalk wireforms, so my dementia has kicked in again and they have to go. I am making a full set of wireforms with the stainless steel rods. I have 2 ideas for upper playfield that are in the process. But, I am banging out wireforms tonight. I will post upper when its presentable. As always I figure some of you might like to follow another hairbrained idea.
The rest of the weekend I am going back to mando rails. Lets see how far I can get tonight.

Not done, but damn close. Debating on right side divertor. I can figure it out with rails, but not sure its worth it?

Great idea, those GnR ramps sure are chintzy in person. I also noticed the left one shaking all over the place when i was playing it on location.

Sitting here looking at the playfield for ideas on upper playfield and looking at Slashā€™s hat and I see the plastics over the vuk.... I think I got a direction to try. A 3d wireform boa constrictor. The standard upper playfield plastics are just crap to take up the space. I think I can make this work and a stainless steel boa ball spitting head next to Slash peeks my interest. I think I can make the tail go to return lane. I am nuts. But I like to try ideas. Forgive my lunacy.. paper is just to see it visually in my head and for scale. Going smaller than drawing. I put a scrapped rail on head to see it for size

I also own a standard, and agree that the upper stage is pretty lame. I considered adding some additional sculpts and instruments, but like your ramp mod much better. Canā€™t wait to see how it works.

Bad part is I have to make left lower rails again to match the snake.. progressing nicely.

I was asked about making these for other people. I am open to it as I already make and sell mandalorian ramps, but these would be expensive to sell with all the labor involved. I will consider it when I am done..

Upper done! Brackets installed and fitted. I need to stone and polish. Very happy with the look..

14 hours just for this top wireform start to finish. The labor would be alot if I sold these. And I am not done!

Looks awesome. Have you tested the snake wire form on the playfield yet? Wondering if the flippers have enough strength to send it the whole way. Also wondering if the wire form exit sends the ball straight down the middle. Easy to adjust for both those issues if they are present. Love your creativity, and it looks amazing.

Drilled off band from upper plastic and I put them in different spots on playfield. I think I am putting the guitar in back left corner.(higher than in picture). I need to add body circles to lower left wireform to complete snake.
I really like the game as I am a fan of the music. But, that upper plastic is just lame and it had to go. The only reason I got this game was the price and it was from someone I have dealt with before. 10,500 for the other models are just too stupid. Way too stupid!

Yes The flipper strength is fine. Making the snake head is the new shot. You can only get it from left flipper as soon as it clears the sling. All other shots round off to ball return. This also made me happier as the size of the ramp is just so damn big! Now its a challenge with 2 shots on same ramp. I am moving the switch to the snake right before the head.
The head is slight shifted and the ball heads to right flipper and does not drain..

Really amazing. Will the snake ramp register as a Stage shot? I originally thought it fed into the scoop, but sounds like it feeds back to a flipper.

The switch that was on turn around ramp to flipper is now in the head. The head shot is very tight in ramp, 90 percent of shots do hook into ball return lane and thats too high. Worse case i will make it feed the head only and go from there. Maybe a one way angled gate for weak shots feeds it to return?

Jjp has it covered already. The ball lands on mylar now. The le balls drop from same height and area, so I think were good. I was going to put some down and was suprised that is was already done. But, I understand the thought so thanks.

Just curious for oppinions. Would there be interest in just the wireforms that replace the catwalks? I was thinking this is my next wireforms for sale. The right rail is a little complicated and takes a little more labor to make. I will make those two wireforms again now that I have it figured out and I can nail down a price with labor.

Currently still working on the snake. The transition from the plastic ramp to wireform needs to be completed in a way that does not require the plastic ramp to be altered. Still working that out. The upper snake and snake body on lower rails takes alot of labor. It looks great, but the cost might be too much to try and sell. It took 19 hours to figure it out and to make. I might do better time wise as I already have it worked out. I will make another snake and see. Appreciate any thoughts on one or the other. Thanks.

I altered the ramp entrance to simplify the shots.. Solid shots make it to head and weak to lame shots hit ball gate which directs it to tail. Double gates to clear support.

Got it completed. Made transition for ramp and had to make gate a hair bigger. Only thing left is raising the guitar in back corner. Axle, Slash and Duff are in new spots. And I scrapped the skull shooter rod.
Happy how it came out and its functional. Jjp should not do standard games, they really look cheap stripped down.

Redoing the snake wireform to a more detailed version after Slashā€™s snake named Pandora. I remembered the article of his snakes and that spawned this mod. This gnr and Tron will be at Allentown pinfest next week.
