Quoted from navajas:My current favorite two and a half season CC gun is the Mod.2 3" 9mm seen below. My AR biuld is complete, and I love it, but I'll wait to post pics until the ATF gets off their ass and I can REALLY finish it. As a bit of a teaser I also have a little something else on the way I hope to show off in a few weeks or so.
And before anyone complains, yes I know all about how we're all supposed to hate on Springfield now. And I know all about what cheap pieces of Croation shit they are. And I know all about how they are not REALLY Springfield either. And I know all the jokes about their stupid Grip Zone. And I also know all about how I can hold 14 rounds of 9mm in a package I can easily clip inside belt at 3:15, shoot them all through a $.50 piece at 21 feet with iron sights, have zero malfunctions in 650+ rounds and spend less than $450.
Next time I'm at my Mom's I'll take a picture of her revolver. It is... Well. It's just fucking epic.
I have several Springfields XDM, XD and M1A. I love them all and couldn't give a turd if critics don't.
XD45s are awesome so is the XDS9 and the XDS45. Don't let anyone tell you Springfield makes a bad piece. Keep your head up good stuff my friend.
Quoted from ASOA:Nice. But in my defense it was cold when I took the photo.
Well played sir
Yours is way more practical. The 10.5in is really heavy but manages recoil well.
Quoted from ASOA:What's up people the only thing I collect more then Pinball is good old fashioned Fire Power. Awesome thread! I think I found my new home. Matt I see you are an enthusiast as well. Travish always a pleasure.

One of my Beauty's
Barrett M82A1 Semi Auto Rifle .50 BMG
Jealous! Always thought the semi-auto Barret .50 was a cool concept. Semi-auto for all those double taps and quick follow up shots. You never know when you might need to hold a hill against a bunch of giant robots.
Quoted from Skins:How do you like the clip draw? Do you pair it with a minimalist trigger guard cover?
Love it! And no, I don't bother with the "trigger holster" things folks sell. It's a very safe draw, thumb body side, pinch grip on the outside of the pants, pull, grip. Shit load safer than all these dudes walking around with a gun in their pocket. My fingers are never anywhere near the trigger until I want them to be. No bulk, no weight, rides really low so less print, inexpensive. I just love it. Best way to cary a double stack I've ever found. I went through plenty, Sticky, Alien Gear, N82 Tactical (which the best of the rest by the way), etc...
Comfort? Well... Nothing I found beat the N82 Tactical for comfort. It was like conceal carrying a travel pillow. But it was bulky as hell even with my Sig 232... And my Mod.2 is a chubby bastard compared to that gun. So yeah, quality bit of kit, easy solid install. Totally recommended.

Thanks for the review.
Oh damn! Just got a note form UPS I'm getting my much anticipated package tomorrow! Hot diggity gosh darn fuck am I excited.
Quoted from Chisox:Cool thread, not sure what took me so long to find it.
You've been spending too much time playing around with vinyl.
Quoted from Chisox:Cool thread, not sure what took me so long to find it. After shooting about 15 different 9mm models over the past few weeks this is what I chose. Sig 226.
Excellent choice.
I changed the grips on mine to a more aggressive set, makes it even easier to shoot.

Nice choice!! Love my P226 combat edition!!
I have a threaded barrel for it also if I ever decide to wait for a supressor.
Seems like a good thread to post a wanted information . Been looking for a Mangles Coney Island arcade . Not to sit in a pretty setting but to get up and running . I have considered making one from scratch so if someone has access to any photos or details please PM any worthwhile information . I know about the intact unit in the Elizabeth street gallery ( New York city ). He has given me permission to inspect and take measurements' . Time issues have precluded the trip . Thanks enjoy your day Shane
Been a while since I posted here, so.....
I got a great deal on a Bushmaster X10 .308 - set it up as my deer huntin' rifle.
My .223 is set up for hogs.
And I've been participating in some 'steel plate challenges', so I've been trying out a red dot on one of my Glock's.
It's here! Very excited! My new Bond Arms Bullpup. Including a picture of it next to my (piece of shit and last Ruger I'll ever buy) LCP 2. The Bullpup is exactly the same length, has a barrel more than 1/2" longer, holds one more round, and is 9mm instead of .380.
To be fair, it also costs 4x as much and weighs a lot more. Will give range report this weekend. Wish me luck. If this thing doesn't rock I'll be pretty upset.
Quoted from Fulltilt:You've been spending too much time playing around with vinyl.
I was going to say your taste in vinyl/hi-fi is only surpassed by your taste in firearms.
BTW where do y'all get your ammo? I've tried a couple online (dirt cheap and lucky gunner ammo) as well as brick and mortar stores. I'm not completely sold on any of them, although I did like the customer service at lucky gunner.

I like the folks at SGAmmo. Good prices and great service.

Of course you can always gamble and look on AmmoSeek.

Cool gun! I like bond arms they have some cool stuff. Spendy though when compared to similar guns in the same class. I want to get a Snake Slayer IV. So cool! Haha

Bond Arms are expensive, but you get what you pay for. And... honestly, there is no gun in this class.

What's your beef with the lcp?

I like sgammo.com or bulkammo.com

I understand about the unique bullpup design. In the "same class" I was referring to its size and being a 9mm. But yes I agree they are high quality so you definitely get what you pay for.
Quoted from Chalkey:What's your beef with the lcp?
Out of the box it had constant issues feeding and extracting. And I mean, five types of ammo, two different mags, both floor plates, different shooters, etc... It would not function for an entire magazine, with the typical second to last round very often live round stove piping. The magazine gets caught in the grip. You need to depress the release in order to get it to seat. Genius! About every other spent case drops onto your head (I'm bald, that sucks) or hits you square in the fucking face (I have a face, this sucks too).
First trip to Ruger they said, yeah it's got issues, polished the feed ramp, "replaced" the magazine release, said nothing they can do about spent cases.
Back to range, FEWER feeding and extracting issues, sure as hell not "resolved" and nothing I'd carry to defend myself or my family.
Second trip to Ruger, "no issues. Gun works fine. You're limp wristing it."
Back to range. No change in magazine function, no change in extraction, no change in shit accuracy (and I'm talking at 7yards here)
Called them, "Why does a Bodyguard function fine for me then? Why does P238? Why did the Kel-Tec? And while we're on it, what's with this still shitty magazine well you said would eventually resolve itself with use since you claim to have put 250 rounds through it in testing? Also, can you explain why I was so god damned stupid as to buy the LCP 2 after never firing it when I had range tested all the others?"
Ruger: "Tough. It's perfect. Can't help you with being stupid enough to buy our product."
Me: "Ok, why are there reports on YouTube and Ruger forums of people getting refunds for their crap pistols even when Ruger claims there's nothing wrong with them, but you're stonewalling me over this rickety piece of $250 shit, a lifelong Ruger customer who is the son of a lifelong Ruger customer?"
Mike at Ruger: "They must be lying about the refunds. That's not Ruger policy. You can send it back again if you want. We don't really give a shit about you as a legacy customer, we're just too big to care."
Don't trust online or magazine "reviews". Go to Forums and you'll find many, many, many owners complaining about this things. So yeah, I'm done with them.

Nice choice. Here is my 229 Legion in my favorite calibur .40
Quoted from yfz450:Nice choice. Here is my 229 Legion in my favorite calibur .40
I carried a pre-buyout 229 for many years. It was a fantastic gun.
Took my Bond Arms Bullpup to the range today but only had time for 100 rounds. Not a single hiccup with the recommended shit ball Winchester Whitebox. It's like white box finally has a reason to exist. Anyway, feels great to shoot. My hands are small so the grips are too fat, especially where it tries to seat itself in my thumb web. The trigger took some getting used to as I am not a revolver guy and have always shied away from double action guns. That said, it is buttery smooth, never stacks up and if you squeeze nice and constantly the hammer break will surprise you everytime until you learn where it is.
Below are my three targets at about 25' in order. Obviously I was pulling the nose of the thing down a lot to start with. I missed the paper a number of times. I'm used to single action SIGs or my striker Springfield, so a 7.5lb double action pull was a significant switch. But, after the first seven or eight magazines I got used to it. The last picture is three magazine, so 23 (8+7+8) shots. Pretty damn happy with that for my first outing firing a DAO, 5" long (with a 3.3" barrel!), 9mm pocket pistol. Near the end I was actively trying to shoot out the red like I was at the fair.
Right now I'm feeling very good about the purchase. I carried it around town in a Sticky while running chores, and though it is very thick and heavy compared to true "pocket" pistols, it is so damned short it tucks in appendix very well. With the DAO trigger I don't give a shit about carrying it there, so don't bother razzing me about it. I got it to replace that awful piece of Ruger garbage, but this thing might honestly end up replacing my Mod.2 Sub9 as well.
I'll definitely be in the market for a thinner pair of grips, so I hope the gun in general cathces on to make it worth while. A nicely molded thin line set of G10 would be awesome.
Get one! They're great! (And then call up Hogue and ask for grips. And maybe Crimson Trace too. Thanks!)
Oh, one more thing. Your finger is so close to the tip of the barrel it gets fucking FILTHY. There's your drawbacks. Chubby grips and filthy fingers.

Anyone ever bought grips from this guy?

I find them ugly as hell, but he's about the only thing I can find for aftermarket Bullpup grips.

Maybe give this guy an email. He makes nice custom grips. I bought a couple sets from him in Elk horn. The ones for my P938 are excellent, thin, and fit my small hands.

Tried this guy and got a, shall we say, definitive, "not a chance in hell". Thanks for the tip though.
Looks like it's carbon fiber for now. :-/ Trying to decide color at this point. Red. Blue?
