Quoted from EJS:I was able to meet up with him a couple weeks ago for a smoke unfortunately we both have stuff going on right now which makes it difficult but USMCSGT0331 is definitely an awesome person to hang out with. He even brought one of his kits with for me to inspect which I’m still tempted to pick up.
It was awesome hanging out, I'm looking forward to meeting up at Tobacco Grove again! I still have that Mk13 Mod 5 kit set aside for you in case you're still interested, it's a really nice kit! I'll post a few photos of it in this thread, I'm sure you fellow gun nuts would like to see it! If anyone here is interested in a Navy SEAL used Mk13 Mod 5 kit, shoot me a message, I have a few kits left for sale.
Quoted from cosmokramer:No where near as impressive or historical as some of the firearms recently posted here but my father gave this 22lr to me earlier this year.
He told me that in 1974 he was at a weigh station in Georgia and bought a raffle ticket for $1 from a state trooper who was selling them for his sons little league team fundraiser. Dad got a call a few weeks later that he won the raffle. He picked it up on his next trip through, brought it home and stored it, never firing it once.

Great looking little plinker with some engraving on the sides and a (im sure plated) gold trigger.
I will be proud to be the steward of this firearm until I pass it down to my son.
Family heirlooms are the best kind of firearms, especially when it's a rifle that beautiful! I've always wanted an engraved Browning SA-22, someday I'll add one to the collection. Your rifle has the Grade III engraving, but I can't make out who the artist is (it's signed on the left side of the receiver). It doesn't look like Angelo Bee, Baerten, Funken, Magis, Vranken, Lambert, etc. I personally think your engraving looks great, whomever engraved it really put some detail into the dogs and birds!
