Had a hell of a time finding 22lr ammo, one place was kind enough to sell me ONE bag of 100 loose rounds.
Found a place in San Diego (lax ammunition) and they had ALL calibers in stock, but the markup was sick.
42.99 for a 50 round box of federal .380 range ammo!
$299.00 for 1400 22lr rounds in the bucket o' bullets!
Needless to say I came hone empty handed.
Shits out of control
Finally found some decent 22lr ammo for about 7 cents a round.

My LGS got a semi-load of ammo yesterday and posted it on Facebook with no purchase limits - parking lot was jammed and the line was around the building that morning when they opened.
Went in today and got a case of Federal 12G target loads for $80 and the last box of Federal 12G buckshot for $35.
They appeared to still have most every caliber still in stock except 5.56 as I overheard the clerk say they had just sold their last case - goes without saying a large shop that was able to stock unlimited ammo for a full day must've had a metric shit-ton delivered. May be a sign production is close to catching up with demand?
The ammo is out there and available if you're willing to pay the price.
Personally, I'd recommend not buying, unless of course you're out.
That's a personal decision you have to make. It's worth what someone is willing to pay.
Cheaper than dirt has 9mm FMJ for $120 50 round box, limit of 1. Same stuff that was $12 a box 7 months ago. Gouging bastards.
I've seen bricks of 22 going for over $100 when they were under $20 not long ago. Didn't even bother to look how much CTD is asking, probably $200.
Glad I'm not in need because that is just stupid and anyone who pays that is stupid. Eventually it has to settle down. Right?
Quoted from HFK:Eventually it has to settle down. Right?
In most cases if supply exceeds demand, prices tend to drop. "In most cases"
Quoted from Fulltilt:In most cases if supply exceeds demand, prices tend to drop. "In most cases"
Yeah that's the problem. Once people get used to higher prices and the product still sells, they likely won't lower it.
HFK I know exactly how you feel with CTD. They are always the first to raise their prices and they raise the roof usually. Problem is, too many people have a short memory and set their feelings aside as soon as the prices come back down again.
I keep getting lucky at my local Walmart....
Although, I am just looking for 12gauge, but that has been difficult to find as well.
They did have 30/30 and 22mag today, and its cheap.
I've made friends with the department manager and he always goes in back for me , just to check .
I won't pay those prices.
I guess I need to get back into archery. Used to have a lot of fun with it when I was younger. Be something new for the wife too.
Thought I would share one of my recent auction purchases.
It’s a early 90s Browning Citori that comes with extra barrels chambered in 410 gauge, 28 gauge, 20 gauge and 12 gauge.
Everything is numbers matching and came in a period correct browning hard case.
Although I do have extra barrels for some of my other shotguns, I’ve never really owned a set like this before.
One person told me that these are used for a certain regiment of sheet, where you go shoot 400 shells in a day (100 shells with each gauge). Maybe, I’m not really sure.
I bought it because I’m a sucker for really nice Brownings. Also because I thought it would be perfect for the kids to gradually work them up from 410-28-20-12.
I think it can serve multiple functions as well like 20 or 12 for dove, 410 or 28 for quail when your flushing them without dogs etc.
Anyhow, pretty excited about it.
It’s a really neat set that I feel like I can hand down to my kids as a heirloom.
Quoted from golfingdad1:Wow, that is sweet man !!
Yeah, I’m pretty excited about it.
Feel pretty lucky to get it.

Ya, very unique indeed.
Congratulations.

Beautiful set! I compete in competitive shotgun sporting clays. The larger registered shoots generally have multiple courses set for each gauge of shotgun. Shooting in small bore sporting clays is my absolute favorite event.

Love the LEDS!! I will definitely have to consider those in the safe!
(the "California" colors would be another discussion and one that would get me moderated I'm certain)

As you can see from the funky grips, I live in California.

For some reason, those California grip mods remind me of the blinders on Tommy.

Reminds me of one of my coworkers. Not a felon but he’s just such a kid at heart he has several nerf guns but he stores them in a pelican chest case. I couldn’t help but give him a hard time the box costs several fold more than what he’s storing. He’s a great guy tho.

Been putting the Ruger single six to good work around the property.
Last year I had a pack rat chew up the wire harness on my truck so I’ve made a hobby out of getting rid of them.
These little 22 shotshells are awesome.

I recently remembered that about 30 years ago I inherited a (rifle?), and I was curious about the value.
I thought it looked just like the size of my 22 rifle that I have had since I was around 8 years old, but I think at one time long ago a friend looked at it and said it is a 30/30 or something(maybe I just dreamed that).
I think I was told that it had never been fired. It is in the cardboard box that I am sure would have been the one it was purchased in.
It some sort of commemorative gun, celebrating the 100 (100 I think) anniversary of that last railroad spike(I think the spike was gold).
I still have a flip phone or I would just go get it and make a pic.
(a little hard to get to and I have had a few beers now, but while I was thinking about it I wanted to mention it here).
(I read the first post in this topic, but I skipped to here to make this post). (so sorry if this gun was talked about already).
If nothing else what is the best site to look up gun values?
I also have other guns that I would like to know the value before I sell them. I do not want to sell to anyone that is just going to flip them and make a ton of money.
(when my Dad passed away he had a few guns, I am keeping some, but this many I do not need, I would rather have another pin).
(also have a nice gun case, the wood one with glass front that will probably be for sale soon).
Thanks!

I have a .44 magnum lever action Marlin that was made with the 444 Marlin barrel. This makes for a heavy wall barrel.
It had a short tube magazine just past the fore grip, But somebody put the full length tube magazine and adding a second dovetail near the muzzle.
This modification ruined the collector value. It was made for only one year.

Here’s what’s been handed down by my family. Jos S Smetz I’m probably spelling it wrong. Very beautiful but there is a fracture in the stock so I haven’t dared to shoot it. Maybe I will someday from the hip with a mini buck or something. Since I don’t have any memories of this thing I’d honestly entertain a pinball trade maybe someday. There’s only one gunsmith in the state that knows these Belgium guns, asked him if he was interested in repairing or buying it and basically hung up on me. That’s when nobody wanted to buy 5 or 6 years ago. I’m sure that’s changed now.

Nice score.
Quoted from Fulltilt:I have been oogling the Citori's. I need a nice shotgun.
Can't really go wrong .
I have been very fortunate with what I have found locally in 4 months, literally my first 3 gun purchases , ever .
Edit , All Citoris , but all very different .
Sweet.
If we’re sharing pictures of Brownings, here’s my Browning semi auto 12 Gauges.
All different models except I double downed on the A5.
My first firearm was the Browning A500G (third gun from the left),which my dad got me for Christmas/birthday when I turned 13. Broke a lot of clays with it and have taken out for dove many times.
I knew it, I knew it, I would have bet $1billlion that Coindork would be right behind us ....lol !!!
You the man Dork !
In all honesty, its because of Coindork, that I strictly focused on Citoris .

I love it when you guys bump this thread.
You need to come up here some weekend and we can take the clay launchers out to the desert for a day.

They look so nice lined up !
Yep, they sure do.
And just like pins, when you line up similar makes and models in a progression it’s looks awesome.

I would double up on the A5 too if I could. I "need" my first A5 but man are the prices rising like everything else.
Now with the #1 gun salesman in charge.... deja' vu.

It’s pretty crazy that sporting shotgun prices are rising.
I love a nice A5. My dad still has the one he bought with his paper route money in 1959.
It was the first shotgun I ever fired. I hope to get it one day to leave to my son. We all grew up shooting it.
Stopped by one of the local shops on the way to the office this morning.
Picked up another Ruger single six this morning that I thought was a pretty fair deal.
Haven’t checked the serial number on the Ruger website yet, but I think it’s from the 70s. Still had the original box and papers as well as the 22 mag cylinder.
Good plinker for the kids because it limits how fast they burn up rounds and it’s fun to shoot.
