Attracting zombies!
Ok, I need the forum's thoughts on this:
If you were me, would you buy a Ruger GP 100 357 in a 6" barrel at roughly $579:
AND.... a Walther PPS M2 9mm for $306:
AND.... a Ruger SR9c 9mm for $325:
OR......
For $400 more than all 3 of those guns combined, just go all in and get a 1969 or 1981 Colt Diamond 38 spcl in a 4" barrel....?
I can't decide : (.
If you have the condition, Colt ('69) hands down.
The others will be worth 1/2 price after you buy them. The Colt will hold it and likely appreciate if it's an excellent condition example.
You can go back and pickup those others anytime.
If you love revolvers, also take a look at the Smith Model 66.

It kinda just depends on what you are wanting to do and why you want these guns really. I mean from a collectors standpoint go with the Colt. I think for the same money of the three guns that you listed first that you can do better than the two Rugers and the Walther. Im not saying that they are bad guns either because they arent, i would just personally go with something different like a M&P or something.
Guns are kinda like pinball machines, you can never have too many and there is always new ones coming out that you just gotta have.
Thanks for the feedback! I should have mentioned:
If I get a Diamondback, I plan to shoot it like ALL get out. It ain't sitting in a box looking pretty; it is getting shot, enjoyed, admired, and shared at ranges with other shooters for sure!
None of my guns are "show pieces" - I am getting way back into the shooting hobby, and I "have a blast" doing it - for a LOT less than price of pinball entry :/...
That being said, I am watching Colt slowly bring back the snake guns. Both the Cobra and King Cobra are on the market with modern updates while bringing in some new components. I'm wondering if the Diamondback and Python are on the way....
Quoted from NPO:None of my guns are "show pieces" - I
I have a couple of guns that are pretty sweet (to me at least) but i shoot every gun that i own and i dont have any safe Queens. Theres nothing wrong with having safe queens if thats what you enjoy but i want to shoot mine and enjoy them.
I haven't bought a new gun in several years but there's a bunch of different ones that i would like to have still thats for sure. I am a big fan of the Smith & Wesson M&P's. I have four of them, my VTAC 9mm is the one that im most proud of but my two M&P shields are my go to carry guns. I also have a M&P sub compact .40 cal that i used to carry but i like the shields much more for carrying.
Just as a side note for anyone that is looking for a great leather holster, there is a place by me called Stoner Holsters and they are fantastic. Check them out if you are looking for a nice holster. I'll put them up against any holsters on the market.
The PPS price is reasonable. You could squeeze out a few $ shopping and using a transfer dealer but if it's readily available and you can support a local shop, that would be a good way to go. I have an "LE" version (difference is just Phos night sights and a couple extra magazines). Very accurate and comfortable for my alien meathooks. Like Who-Dey said these things are really subjective. Internet opinions are worth what you are paying us for them. If there is a range that rents near you, it may be worth test driving a few like an M&P Shield @ similar size and price range.
For those tired of one polymer striker fired pistol after another.... something that's actually different:
Not being imported to the US yet that I know of. Initial run of 500 went out to other countries. Crazy expensive but hoping they go into regular production and the price drops a bit.
Well, I decided to take the money I would have spent on the Diamondback and pay off more of my credit card. Between my car loan and credit card, I am $9K away from being 100% debt free.
So, to celebrate that, I decided to support Colt resuscitating the snake guns and bought a Colt Cobra 2" 38 special : ). Got it for $579 off GunBroker, NIB, debit-card fee free, and free shipping. So with $20 transfer fee, $599 in my hand. Not bad considering they were at $800 not that long ago.
I'll be picking it up Veteran's Day weekend when I am allowed to return from deployment for a bit of R&R before I go back to finish my tour.
Two months to wait : (.

Nice looking pistol with almost no recoil... Would love the chance to shoot one.
Zero chance that will ever happen in California

Man thats a sweet gun! I got a King Cobra .357 that i bought in 1986. It has a 6" barrel and is what they call the bright stainless. Its beautiful and shoots like a dream. It is so much nicer than the Smith & Wessons. .....sorry to all the Smith guys, i don't mean to offend by any means but it really is. I like Smiths also for the recored but the old Colts are the shit.

I'm almost afraid to ask what it takes for you to be allowed to possess one (or anything new to the market). I plan to keep track of them to see if they go into regular production, where the price settles, reliability reports, etc. If no one starts bringing them in, maybe find someone to do an import if it comes to that. Was contemplating a Shadow 2/Accushadow, but worth some waiting to find out how this turns out.
Here is the Laugo facebook page and web site in case they are of interest:

Thanks! I am so excited to finally bring a snake gun home.
The King Cobra was re-introduced at Shot Show this year, and just last week Colt announced they're making the King Cobra Target, a 4.25", 357 with wood inlay grips.
Rumor has it per Youtuber God, Guns, and Country that he asked Colt directly at Shot Show 2019 in January if the Python was going to be re-introduced, and he claims that Colt said once the Cobra lines had been completely reintroduced that they were indeed bringing the Python back to production!
If that is true, man..............I'll be waiting in line with everyone else!

From what I understand, all you have to do is be a non-California resident and move to California. You can bring in as many non-roster guns as you want when you move there, and you can legally sell them privately at a handsome markup.

Im not a big revolver guy anymore but i would love to have all of the snake guns.
Sheesh. I have to stop. Ruger GP 100, 357 in a 6" barrel. LOVE those grips. Heard from my FFL at Eglin AFB - the Cobra came in today : )!!!
Now, two guns to wait for until Veteran's Day : (....
Four guns in 1 month. So many more coming. I'm going to need another safe soon :/.
Quoted from tilt-master:That looks like it’s been fired by more than the factory
Thank you for the feedback.

That was my first gun when I was a kid, got it for Christmas. I thought I was hot shit! Mine had a plastic stock was the only thing I didn't like about it.

Cool
Well, got to visit home 2 weeks earlier than expected. Picked up the three new ones.
Ruger SR9C, Colt Cobra, and Ruger GP100.
*unf unf unf unf*
Now they're with me back at my current assignment until I return home in early January. Jessica has the rest of the arsenal, all guns in her possession are loaded with one in the chamber. I make my momma proud.
Quoted from shlockdoc:Opinions please.
1911 long slide 10mm. Dan Wesson Bruin or Springfield armory TRP RMR. The SA comes with red dot sight from factory. Both are very close in price.
TIA.[quoted image][quoted image]
I would go with Springfield.
Better quality according to my experience.

I’d go SA with the RMR.

Assuming it's semi-auto. ~$750 ish.

10mm is a beast. Most 1911s can’t handle it. Either the frames will crack or the spring setup will be so heavy that the slide cycles faster than it should so the disconnector slot catches the top of the hammer and breaks. At that point you need a new slide. I had it happen on a Colt Delta Elite and on an EAA Hunter. 10mm was designed on the glock platform and that’s where it needs to stay.
Short barrel rifles, suppressors, etc. My previous hobby before pinball.
