I'm going to change my pinside name after seeing fulltilt and Travish pics.
Quoted from tilt-master:Some of the S&W mags can be tough to load. I can’t load mags of my M&P9 without a loader, the others I can do by hand
I'm talking about clips, not magazines.

Quoted from Fulltilt:I love winter only for low humidity.
Haha that’s year round here in AZ lol. Actually it’s a little high even haha. No need for a de-humidifier in the gun safe out here!
Too many to put in one pic....but Glock just came out with the X19. Its a G19 9mm slide on a G17 frame to accomodate a longer magazine. All of it is a tan color and they have a special super accurate barrel on it. It looks like my collection will grow again. They are like pinball games in that they just seem to multiply like tribbles. My summer carry is usually the Ruger .380 and winter is a Glock 17 with night sights. I love them all!
Haven't posted on this thread in a while. Been busy building a ranch, barns, fencing and ... a dedicated shooting range on 30 acres here in east TN.
It's all AR500 steel. 2 banks of targets hung from treated 4x4's and set in concrete encased vinyl sleeves. As they get shot up, pull the 4x4, replace with a fresh one. It's a short drive from the ranch house and I use it a ton. Built an elevated shooting platform and the target banks are 15 yards and 30 yards. I shoot mostly handguns (shot competitive IPSC) so the distances did not need to be that long. Since these images were shot, I added some heavier steel on the lower level of the 30 yard bank in order to shoot my .500 S&W Mag and my 44 mag lever gun.
I wear electronic headphones and they shut down the sound of the gun blast BUT allow you to hear the "ringing of steel" when you make contact. Priceless!
When I'm done, walk down and spray paint them and walk away ... has been VERY low maintenance

Had major surgery this summer and while recovering I decided to celebrate (survival!) by building a custom 22 target pistol using a S&W Victory as the base model. Had to be a "Victory", right?
Anyway ... added/changed out:
TandemKross trigger
Volquartsen grips
TandemKross Halo charging ring
TandemKross extended mag pads
Burris FastFire 3 red dot
MaddMacs Precision custom red dot mount (not pictured, but was nearly half the cost of the raw gun! - and very nice)
Volquartsen barrel and muzzle brake
Handmade leather (in England) .22/pellet ammo pouch
Love the Victory with ONE exception. The safety is right where a right handed person will hit it (especially with the form fitting grips) and I am ALWAYS putting it on during recoil.
Other than that, the gun is a tack driver against all other .22 that I have, including 3 other versions of the MKs
Quoted from Fulltilt:Maybe wake things up a little with a nice old school LRB M14SA.
That thing is beautiful. Man Fulltilt, you have some great guns!
Does anyone here. Have a S&W 4006 tactical? Service weapons for CHPs. I may have a chance at one. Any thoughts?
Quoted from Fulltilt:Maybe wake things up a little with a nice old school LRB M14SA.
Damn I love M14s. If I had a time machine I'd use it to go back and kick myself in the face for buying a Mini-30 instead.
Quoted from navajas:Anyone go to Shot Show?
I did but I was working the booth most of the time so I didn’t get to walk around much. I did spot this sweet little reskin.

That was at SHOT? Haha. Dang, even more jealous now. Where do you work? Anything cool catch your eye?

Yeah it was on 2-ball free play at the Real Tree booth. They have an insane full size cabin constructed and this was on the “front porch” area. It’s a rethemed Big Buck Hunter Pro which was very well done and played great.
I’m the production manager for Cabot Guns. If anyone is going to NRA in May we will have a #TS in our booth with a custom Cabot launcher I’m making. I’m going to try to live stream it and we are going to give a Cabot 1911 away to the best player.

Wow.... just checked out Cabot guns website. Beautiful looking firearms, I especially like the ultimate bedside 1911
I have two of the EOTech low end models for my rare to occasional shooting and really like them. One on my M&P 15-22 and one for my Baretta CX4 Storm 9mm.
Both are great plinkers and my kids and I love to shoot them. You get a lot of “gong” for your buck.
Quoted from Sputnik:How about a wake up call from Romania?
Has the dimple above the mag well, so not a WASR-what variant?
Crossposting from the Shadow club thread, since I think I mentioned this project in this thread before.
I build 1911s and I always thought it would be cool to build a launcher out of a real one with functional ignition components. The kick in the ass I needed was that my company decided to take my Shadow to the NRA show in Dallas in a few weeks to feature in our booth. I'm honestly pretty lousy at documenting stuff but I've been trying to grab some photos along the way and thought you guys might get a kick out of the project.
Basically I built a pistol out of cosmetically unsalable parts with a dummy firing pin and I chopped the trigger block arm off of the grip safety so you don't have to have it depressed to pull the trigger. You know, for those last second pre-drain Mongol shots. Obviously it's only single action, so you have to manually cock the hammer, but if you do the ball launches at the same exact time as the hammer drop if you want it to drop, which feels pretty damn cool. Here is the switch test:
So far I've built the pistol and machined a mounting plate, which the gun will slide through and be welded into. Clearanced the barrel for wires by cutting off the lower lugs, and modified a magazine to act as the (removable for service) switch carrier. I also polished and recoated the carriage bolts because they were rusty and horrible and had mold marks all over them. I'm hoping to get it welded up in the next couple days so I can get it mounted.

Finally got to shoot out to 500 yards last week and consistently shot MOA. Had such a blast. It was a rush hearing that steel ring from way out there!
Quoted from Travish:Tube is done. Here's a mock up.
The Sten is so cool. Shows what you can do going back to basics. Ok, very basic. (:

I read that they made 4 1/2 million of them during the war and they were dropping them behind the lines to the resistance by the thousands because they were so cheap. They cost about $4.50 each.
Quoted from Travish:Only took 2 months but all done except deciding on a finish. Gun building on Memorial Day weekend just seems right.
Blue or not blue. (:
A couple WW2 guns I happen to have pics of. A 1942 6 digit Springfield Garand postwar refurb in blond and a WW2 Longbranch Sten mk2. I also have a Lend Lease Garand, IHC, H&R and Winchester and and M1D sniper version. working on building a .308 Italian Garand slowly but surely and then I have them all, mostly.
