Hello, people are invited to play with us on Saturdays near Baton Rouge: https://pinside.com/pinball/events/summer-fun-league-2020 This is our first try at getting a group together and we look forward to meeting people and playing lots of pinball. ~Wendy and BlueCharlieDave

Even in Baton Rouge we were up until 1:30 listening to the blowing transformers and wind. We have three trees down from our yard into multiple neighbors yards but only fence damage thank goodness! Except for the old boat of a friend that was a total loss even the trailer. Long hard cleanup but still so fortunate. Working on a generator now. Hope everyone made out well.

    Quoted from kvolak:

We're okay here. No extra damage to our house, still waiting for the contractor to fix it from the last damn hurricane. Power is out so I'm taking a day trip to Houston. Any ideas for a place I can swing in and play pinball? Going to be near the IKEA. And by IKEA I mean Whataburger. XD

Glad you're okay! You've probably left Houston but we picked up our newest game at Joystix next to Minute Maid stadium but it might be open by appointment only.
Dent00 that boat was not running, sentimental value only. And we will be paying pros to move all the trees. Just a lot of headache and money. Sorry we missed you in Shreveport!

Looking forward to attending but avoiding the temptation of all these pins for sale! I'm paying on going back to grad school so my husband is not allowed to be interested. Maybe he can trade a car or two? He's got extras of those!

    Quoted from Pinball-is-great:

Link to news posted on IFPA website Oct 6th. Change goes into effect Jan 1, 2022.

    https://www.ifpapinball.com/wppr-formula-change-to-v5-7-for-2022/

Does this mean a 20% increase in points value for playing in tournaments with over 64 people? I'm thinking like the first comment, I'll never play in that big an event and the people who do/can will be even further up in an elite bracket I'll never reach.

And WoodZgooD follow this thread for when people post pictures from the tournament. THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN TOURNAMENT I WAS HAVING MOAR PLESE !

    Quoted from ElCid95:

Anyone in the market for a nice Gorgar? A friend of mine in Shreveport has one that he is thinking of selling. The playfield and back glass are both 10/10 with new rubbers and LEDs. He isn’t sure of a price yet and will most likely put up a marketplace ad if he can’t sell it locally. [quoted image]

We just spoke with someone in New Orleans who is looking, please let me contact them and get in touch!

Hello, we will have a low-key friendly league in Baton Rouge in July. Sunday July 10, 17, 24, and 31, at 2pm. We will have four games at Central City Steak and Seafood (see the Pinside Map for more location details). Fish Tales and Terminator 2 are there now, and we will bring in High Speed and Pot 'O' Gold (1965). All ages welcome, participate in all four dates for single pay of $10 adults and $5 kids. Format will depend on number of participants, most likely will be using MatchPlay to set up four person games on each machine each week. Message me, Wendy, with questions. Have A Flippin' Fantastic Day!

    Quoted from TigerLaw:

Absolutely exciting to see. I’m hoping Lake Charles is able to help Vendalah with the women’s division activity as well. PavBall tells me she wants us to start hosting more tourneys again as well.
We have lots of new machines heading to Lake Charles soon.

    aaawwww yeeah!

Pinball-is-great thank you for the support, and if you are officially registering please text message me you might be the only active player within that mythical one hour drive. although someone from Mississippi might get wind of it, but he might not want to slaughter noobs *cough*@dent00*cough*

TigerLaw name your day! here's a secret, I thought a thread to plan tourneys in Louisiana would be useful but nobody but me and Jody posted anything in it haahaahaa! I am also staring a hole in the back of beyond EasternBloc ahemhem... PLEASE both send me a message here or by text anytime.

so excited! see everyone at Jody's!
