I plan to try to head up there too Chris. My two issues would be reconstruction timing on my home and Tiger's move to the new house.

    #4902 3 years ago
    Quoted from Nevus:

How do you all feel about a pinball party at my house Sat 10/3/20?

My crew is certainly willing to come. Hopefully, we won't have anything pop up that would conflict.

Sounds great Chris I’m planning to make the drive up.

I’m also thinking about doing the same a little pinball party in da shed and da yard, just have to figure out a date.

Looking at my calendar, I'm open the first weekend in October. We should have cool weather by then.

Unless something bad happens, I also plan to attend.

It made it timely and pushed the thread to the top, I think the issue looks resolved but go ahead and log out and then log in again. Thanks.

Special thanks to Zukboy2002 Jodester and Pinball-is-great for helping with the relocation of 14 machines this weekend. It was a long couple days and we almost had an accident with TNA before we had a full understanding of the escalara...but we managed to move every machine without a single bump on a machine or wall, an incredible feet with turning stairs.

Totally forgot to post in this group thread that we are selling out Monster Bash LE if anyone is interested or knows someone that might be. It has 709 total plays and still looks like the day we opened it. $7950
There is a sale thread here on Pinside with lots of photos.

    #4912 3 years ago

It's not everyday you load up and move a Varkon pinball machine.

The escalara got a work-out over the weekend.
We decided to charge the battery for a half hr to an hr before moving Twilight Zone upstairs, because we didn't want it to crap out halfway up the stairway. All went well. Good call by the Professional PinMovers.

Congrats Tiger on your new full size gameroom (with steel reinforced sub-floor beam and supports to handle a bunch of pinball players and pinball machines)! Quite impressive!

    #4913 3 years ago

Great stuff guys! The gameroom looks really nice.

    #4914 3 years ago

Lots of work there! Digging the new space; hope beer was supplied for labor!

    #4915 3 years ago

    Looks Great guys!

    #4916 3 years ago

Looks like the escalara was a great investment.
Nice lineup with no damage during a big storm like that is pretty remarkable.

    Quoted from EasternBloc:

    Nope.

Just lots of free legal advice.

Drinking beer and moving heavy expensive pinball machines is not a good mix, so we didn't go there.

We worked thru lunch other than a few tater chips, so we were hungry after finishing moving pins and assembling legs and heads back on.
Pavball came thru with a nice home-cooked hot meal.

    Miss ya Mike!

When you gonna come visit us in Louisiana Gryszzz? Once we are a little more back to normal you should make the road trip.

    #4921 3 years ago

Booked my room and paid for my VIP passes for HAAG Expo. Hope to see you there.

I like the VIP pass. It keeps Henry happy with cokes and Cheetos!

Party Time this Saturday 1:00 - 6:00 PM

I plan to have a Brisket, Veggie tray and plenty of bottled water. I always have Coffee
I’m doing a Keto diet so no fun sweets for me.
Please bring anything else you want to drink or eat or share. I may ask those arriving early to assist me with moving a few games around. No heavy lifting, just a little push and pull.

A few mentioned possibly driving up the night before. Reach out to me if you need a tip for breakfast or might like to come earlier. My phone goes straight To VM if your not in my contacts. Leave a message or text.

Party Time this Saturday 1:00 - 6:00 PM

Sorry Chris I will not make it, I’m still in Hurricane recovery mode for the most part, although I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. All my personal stuff is mostly taken care of but my job is extremely demanding during this type of event and it will be some time before I’m back to normal.

Having said all that I have had some time to play a few games the last week or so, now that I’m no longer on generator and I can’t wait to get back in the swing of things. As of right now I still plan on going to Houston. I have the hotel reservation and just need to get my VIP passes soon.

Hope to see all you guys soon.

Party Time this Saturday 1:00 - 6:00 PM

I also will not be allowed to make it, since my job sucks.

    #4926 3 years ago

Sorry. It would have been nice to meet one of our newest Louisiana pinball peeps.

    #4927 3 years ago

So who’s doing the game exchange swap or purchase Saturday. Wouldn’t be a proper gathering if some deals are going on.

    #4928 3 years ago

I am accepting restored quicksilvers for trade...

    Quoted from Nevus:

I am accepting restored quicksilvers for trade...

Won't fit in my car...I could have made off with Tiger's QS.

Now, a box of boards and a wiring harness for Congo would definitely fit in my car. (Cough, cough)

    #4930 3 years ago

I am up early tending the brisket.

I’m looking forward to seeing pinball friends today!

    #4931 3 years ago

    Great Day today!
Thanks to everyone that came and shared the fun. Also, thanks for bringing food and drink.
I had so much fun catching up I hardly played any games and didn't take a single picture.

Great fun Chris! Thanks for hosting and doing another wonderful brisket. Great to see all the peeps from the region too today.

    #4933 3 years ago

Thank you for hosting, @nevus! Really enjoyed seeing everyone in what seems like a full year.

    #4934 3 years ago

    Nevus,

Thanks again for inviting us all over. It was definitely a fun time had by all!

I was getting killed by the Beatles

Stranger Things was a lot of fun. No idea what I was doing, but it was fun.

    #4937 3 years ago

Was really proud of my Gamatron score. That’s one of the coolest physical ball locks I’ve ever seen.

That machine reminds me of Freefall with those manual locks.

    #4939 3 years ago

Thanks for hosting Chris! We has a great time. It was so nice to see everyone...It's been a while. Hopefully, it won't be that long again.

    Who’s getting a GNR?

    It looks really cool!

    #4941 3 years ago

I was hoping you would Chris!

It does look really cool. I probably would go for the LE as the standard looks pretty stripped down.

NIB pinball machines are too rich for my wallet now.

    Quoted from Nevus:

That one will be in my gameroom someday. Not today, or tomorrow, but maybe when I get that lucky scratch off. GNR looks super awesome.

    So True.
    Yikes, on these prices.

    #4944 3 years ago

That CE is the most elaborate pinball machine I’ve ever seen it is shockingly stacked with bling! I seem to remember almost a year ago Edwin told me that’s what he was saving up for was the new GNR.

    That was before the hurricane.

    #4946 3 years ago

I’m breaking all my pinball rules and taking the plunge. I’m in for a GNR LE. I’m looking forward to sharing the fun and with HAAG canceled, I may need to have another party!

I am blown away by the launch and the feature packed game.

Eric’s last game got squashed by Pat L. and now there hard to find and sell well above retail.
