Thanks for the tips. Mine will only be a small ~200 sq ft shop so I figured a window unit would be enough. What temperature settings do y'all use during summer and winter?

    #4852 3 years ago

We are booked at the Drury Inn for TPF 2021 !!

    Embassy is *completely* booked.

I don't know how many of y'all "qualify," but the Senior Rate at the Drury (which is a GREAT hotel btw) was far better than using the TPF group code. And provided more room options, too.

We are now officially looking forward to TPF 2021 !!

Man! This thread has been quiet. Y'all okay?

I'm picking up a nice Stern JP Pro Thursday! As much as she loves JP Pro, Cherie says I can't keep 4 pins for very long.

So, gonna list my blinged out Nascar but wanted to float it here first -- hoping to keep it "in the area." (I'll be happy do donate fee to robin if it sells.)

PinStadium lights. Added cars. Extra translite, plastics, and drop targets. Mostly LEDs. Under-cab lighting. Lighted flipper buttons. Clean, really nice, well-maintained, and works 100% of course!

$3000 pretty firm. PM me -- and let's get some Redneck in your collection! LOL It really is a fun game!

Hey guys, I’m probably selling my Gilligan’s Island soon to a buyer who had made a great cash offer. I’m very interested in getting my hands on a game on my wishlist (WH20, FT, or others). Please PM me if you’ve been thinking about selling any 90’s WPC pins or interested in a trade +/- cash for GI since our deal isn’t finalized. Sorry scottslash, NASCAR theme doesn’t appeal to me right now but the game looks great!

Thanks! Good luck with your quest. Something is sure to pop up with a little patience!

Looks great! Maybe you should keep the four pin lineup. Lol. Enjoy!

My Rick and Morty #155 ships on Monday! Super Excited!

    #4859 3 years ago

My fiance loves Rick and Morty, but is new to pinball. I foresee an opportunity to hook him into the hobby...which he inevitably has to accept anyways. XD

WH2O machines have sadly blasted off into the stratosphere price wise over the last couple of years. PavBall and I want one as well, but not at the price they currently change hands at...that is also how we feel about Indiana Jones. Hopefully those two games one day become CGC remake candidates.

    Quoted from kvolak:

We will have two of them in SW Louisiana. Once we start having events again we’d enjoy you and your fiancé coming by and playing with us.

Speaking of having events again, has the IFPA given any indication when they might allow tourneys again?

TigerLaw We'll be there with beer and cookies.

    #4862 3 years ago

    Scott,

I love my JP pro. It gets most of the plays in the games room even after a few months of ownership. Once I fixed the ramp opto issue and the sticking Jeep issue, my game plays great.

Funny enough both of those items are frequently present.

We are LOVING this JP Pro. Mine was a November 2019 build.

I'm seeing no issues at all. (Other than my struggling to make the shots!)

No jeep stick. No loose post by upper flipper. Not aware of a ramp opto issue. (But I'm only on page 25 of 124 in owners thread LOL).

SOOOO looking forward to some gatherings!

    TSPP still going strong?

Sold TSPP and TNA to get Beatles Gold and JP Pro. No regrets at all.

Yes indeed! I just got the call. They are going to deliver to my house. Just have to decide if I’m going to take the day off or not!

I have not heard of any specific or planned date yet.
I'm hopeful that sometime in 4th quarter 2020 that IFPA will allow IFPA endorsed pinball tournaments.

Rick and Morty in house safe and sound. Looking forward to having everyone over to enjoy!

I’m always jealous of these awesome looking lineups!

To my EM people: does anyone have an extra Bally pinball cabinet they’d be willing to sell? I’m trying to find a donor to repaint for my Capt Fantastic (1975).

Watch out SW LA & SE TX. Hurricane Laura hasn't yet decided where she wants to strike the coastline at.

    #4875 3 years ago

    Hope you guys stay safe!

    #4876 3 years ago

Be safe all my GCPC friends. We are as prepared as we can be now we are just going to ride it out and pray for the best.

    #4877 3 years ago

I hope Jodester and TigerLaw and other pinball friends in Lake Charles don't get flooded. Storm surge predictions don't look good for Lake Charles area, but I'm hoping the actual surge levels are less than predicted.

    #4878 3 years ago

Hurricane Laura is now a Cat 4 storm.

Thanks Pinball-is-great We evacuated to Metairie. We are deeply concerned. I know everyone says things can be replaced, but things like family photo albums and what not really can’t be replaced...not to mention Varkon. The next 24 hours are going to be pretty intense. Good luck everyone.

    #4880 3 years ago

Prayers for you all and please stay safe.
Please let us know how we may help.

    #4881 3 years ago

Well. Beaumont ended up doing great.
Waiting to hear from all our Lake Charles area people.
I knew the Jody had moved out to a safer area. And now know that Tiger made it out. Fingers crossed for all your property guys.

    #4882 3 years ago

    Hey kvolak,
Did u evacuate for Hurricane Laura, or hunker down and ride it out in Leesville area?
Damage assessment? Not too bad, I hope.
Any mini tornadoes whip thru by you?

    #4883 3 years ago

Sent this to TigerLaw but posting here for any others. I’m headed out tomorrow with a group to Leesville to start helping with the effort. Feel free to share with anyone you know who needs help.

I drove up from Houston Wednesday, through the Leesville area and Hwy 190 was blocked going North at a few locations on that road, detouring traffic. Law enforcement was at those blockades to make sure no one could get past the roadblock into what I assume is a swampy area. There were no signs or discussion on why that was done and the law enforcement did not seem interested in waiting for anyone to talk about it either. I assume the low area did not allow normal traffic to drive through during a possible hurricane. I had to go a long way around over some dams, west of that area.

Hello gang. Just checking in to let you all know my family is okay and, all things considered, doing well. We got a tarp on the roof today to stop water from coming in during the next rain.

All the pins at both our house and office made it through 100% with no damage, we didn’t take in water inside our house or office (thankfully the advertised storm surge never materialized). Same is the case for Jodester , he did not take on water and his collection is 100% safe and he has a tarp on his roof. PavBall and I will be living in Metairie for the next couple of weeks while we sort things out with contractors and SW Louisiana gets power and water back online.

Thanks for letting us know. Very happy to hear that you all are ok! I'm sure you are also relieved that your collection made it out unharmed.

    #4888 3 years ago

My games are all good. Well... Except Tiger and Pav’s Batman 66. I was paying it outside for a couple of days and forgot to bring it inside. It looks pretty good, just needs some decals.

    #4889 3 years ago

Guys we made it through the storm she was rocking and rolling and the eye past over my place (I’m the blue dot Leesville is the red dot) all my structures are good. Cell phone service is hit and miss. No power and the power company put this out today.

BECi continues to rebuild its infrastructure after its service area took a direct hit from Hurricane Laura. BECi substations are currently being inspected and repaired as well as more than 80 damaged transmission poles and hundreds of distribution poles.

BECi is following standard practice in repairing and energizing its lines. Substations and transmission lines will be repaired first and then service lines. All BECi substations are served by large transmission lines that are powered by other utility companies, who are working diligently to repair damage. BECi substations will not be able to receive power until these large transmission lines are functioning again.

Crews continue to cut trees, reset poles and make repairs on more than 5,700 miles of line. BECi still anticipates that members will be without power for at least 4-5 weeks. This is only an estimate and some members will be without power longer depending on the damage in their area.

Looking at my calendar, I'm open the first weekend in October. We should have cool weather by then.
How do you all feel about a pinball party at my house Sat 10/3/20?

I'm not looking for a tournament, but don't mind if someone wants to organize one (including the collecting fees and prizes if applicable). I would just like to see my friends.

Although I assume those concerned about Covid-19 risks would not attend, I will definitely be promoting good hygiene and safety.
We can have food, drink and friendship. I would be willing to space out games in or outside, weather permitting. I'm open to suggestions and input.

To answer the other question, LSU vs Vanderbilt 10/3 6:30PM.

    #4891 3 years ago

Please feel free to bring any game on my wish list in lieu of a snack or side-dish.

    #4892 3 years ago

If space is a concern you do have a nice garage next to your game room. You could space a few games out there and that would space out the ones in your game room.

    #4893 3 years ago

Naturally, I will be on the road returning from a vacation on 10/3. So, unable to come. Sure miss y'all. Have fun!

This sounds great to Pav and I. We are a yes in pencil though, as we “may” be moving around that time. Hard to say with all that is going on, but if we are not moving that weekend we are in. Thanks.

Just found out we were exposed to a family member who tested positive with COVID so we are in quarantine. But right before that I happened to get something new to keep me busy.

Hope everyone is staying safe and doing their best to get back to normal during these crazy times.

Nice PinballRouge. One of my all time favorite machines.

    #4897 3 years ago

Thinking about all my Hurricane affected friends today. I hope you all are doing well.

Houston appears to be a go for the time being. https://www.arcadecenter.com/

Tickets purchased and hotel room booked!

    #4898 3 years ago

Pinball-is-great We just got internet back up. Power was out for about a week, water stayed on though. We had a giant tree land on the house, took out the patio and put a hole in the roof. Lots of stuffed downed around us, we were stuck in for a little while, but things have started clearing up. No one was hurt, and the dog loved her new tree and was upsetti spaghetti when they took it away. XD

Other than that just holding still in the air conditioning.

    #4899 3 years ago

If this is on the books, I'd like to try to make it. It's looking like harvest should be wrapped up by then. Hope everyone is doing well!
