My old man showed me last night that youthful vigor is no match for experience. My mom had never played much pinball before, but she did great and I tagged her in for an electric chair multiball and she had a blast. Happy Father’s Day to all the pindaddys.
Does it have a working topper? I’ve never seen a Strange Science with a working topper. Post some pics, great artwork on that game.
Happy Father’s Day Gulf Coast Club.
Thank you for keeping it at the office for a little while. I was able to play a few games on it and the machine is super nice and plays really challenging. You will have many good times with Elvira and enjoy installing the color DMD and other mods.
We want to see photos of it set up in its home.
I voted for you action76
Also, we have been asked by a couple people what 4 games may be in the Saturday side tournament. tigerlaw has selected CSI for the side tourney and of course I picked Medusa. jodester will pick one as his liking as one of the four, then the three of us will jointly agree on the fourth game.
As a further update, we are uncertain about TNA’s timely arrival. TNA No. 174 is assembled and at the factory we are told but will not be play tested and boxed up for shipping till tomorrow. If it also ships out tomorrow we will have it for Saturday but there is a good chance it doesn’t ship out till Wednesday and then we will not have it for the tourney. Quicksilver will be in a stand alone tourney in place of TNA if TNA is not here.
Sorry guys, I deleted my previous post because Mrs pin screwed up royally and posted the order of the entries incorrectly please vote for number 4 and in your comment also say it is for the fresh princess of Flowood. If you have already voted please go back to this link and revoke sorry for the confusion thanks everyone.
My 3 and 1/2 year old grandson told the waiter at a restaurant "My Baba bought me a pinball machine!"
So as my one week anniversary with my first pin draws ever closer, what kinds of things should I be doing as far as general maintenance goes? And should I be doing them at set date intervals (weekly/monthly/annually) or is it based on number of games played?
I would wipe down the play field monthly and throw a coat of wax on it quarterly. It will keep the game playing fast.
Buy some micro fiber towels to wipe the playfield with...
Total Nuclear Annihalation No. 174 is officially on a truck heading to Louisiana. Will not make an appearance in time for the tourney but will be here for the next one.
Have a great time guys. I'm on the road to Destin tomorrow morning or I would be there. Good luck!
Hangin out with TigerLaw and Pavball and friends. Thanks Tiger for a good time playin pinball.
Finishing places for the main pinball tournament on Sat Jun 23 in Lake Charles, LA, Romp in the Swamp 5:
T5th John F.
This was a double elimination tournament format, with best of 7-game matches on the winners side of the bracket, and best of 3-game matches on the losers side.
A big thank you to TigerLaw and PavBall for hosting a great pinball party and tournaments.
The machines held up pretty well today, except for X-Men was playing fine during practice time, then decided to act flakey just as the main tourney was starting. No problem, we still had more than enough machines for the tourney.
Quoted from TigerLaw:
We didn’t take many pictures yesterday, heck, we were so exhausted at the end we didn’t even take trophy pics. Here was one pic we did take though of Mandy taking (eventual tourney champ) Preston down on TAF and a photo of TZ sadly leaving my collection and heading back to Beaumont:
The looks on their faces says it all.
Can’t wait to do it all over again next time.
A better pic of my second place finish in the Friday main. I was lucky enough to win both the side tourneys on Friday and Saturday. Always a bridesmaid...
Here are the before and after LED light shots of #Scared Stiff. The ambient lights are off to contrast just the LED's. Also added a ColorDMD, rebuilt the flippers, and changed out the rubber parts. It was so much fun!
I'm no expert, but to me the flippers seem much stronger and the game plays better, but maybe I'm just getting better at hitting those ramps.
Arrived this afternoon and unboxing it tonight assuming it survived the shipping expierence. Will you be around by chance?
