Champion Pub is all back in one piece and playin great!
Hello All:
Just Favorited and subscribed, per my email convo with Tiger.
Matt Richard here, born and raised in Lafayette, La.
Living in Houston, TX for 15 years now.
New to Pinball, playing for about a month.
I’ve become a regular at Einsteins Pub/Arcade In Richmond and Joystix, Downtown Houston.
Happy to learn more, I want to purchase my first PIN! I’m interested in TZ, Monster Bash (LE), and Stern Ghostbusters.
Nice to meet you,
-Matt
Anyone looking for a NIB Spooky Scooby Doo CE ? Mine was delivered on Monday, but due to another very large purchase this summer I am going to sell it. I am 30 mins north of New Orleans so it would be an easy pickup for anyone in Louisiana/East Texas. I am putting it on FB Marketplace this Friday, but wanted to give Pinsiders first shot.
Just looking to get out what I have in it. PM if intrested.
Pin #615 built on July 5th.
Thank you VoodooPin for offering it up here first.
I'm not in the market to buy machines currently, but perhaps someone on here.
I wonder where this brand new pinball machine will eventually end up at?
It would be cool if it ended up in the basement of the haunted Myrtles Plantation house in St. Francisville, LA.
Ask Mudflaps about that place. He has stayed overnight there before.

A summer pinball league has started up at BRcade in downtown Baton Rouge, LA.
Week 1 of league play was held on Sun July 9th. Ten players got things rolling with help from Vendalah.
We had some players come in from out of town to help support and compete.
Some pics taken on July 9th attached here below.
My first time making it over to BRcade. Got to play pinball with friends new & old on my birthday!
On Sundays BRcade opens up at 2 pm. League play will be on (8) Sunday afternoons in July & Aug.
It is ok to miss one or two weeks, so feel free to join in this coming Sunday if you are generally free on Sundays this summer.
Nine pinball machines currently set up, and also a bunch of video arcade games can be played.

Oh man, yes I did spend the night at Myrtles. Did I see anything spooky? Just the bill, but I spoke to the new gardener on our way out. He was pretty upset and said he would probably quit. Apparently something grabbed him on his rounds....
Romp in the Swamp VIII was great. The AC going out at 2pm made the humidity levels on theme too! I think this is the fourth or fifth tourney that Brian knocked me out on the final game of the tourney. That guy’s got my number for sure.
Post pictures if y’all have them!

Good times earlier today at Romp in the Swamp pinball party and tournaments.
Big thank you to TigerLaw & Pavball for hosting the gathering, complete with pizza and more.
Seemed like Jodester hit home runs all day: running the tournament, fixing a few issues with machines during gameplay, and he even played well.
Top Finishers in the main tournament, the classic Sterns side tourney, and the Assault the Vault side tourney

There is no question, we could not have tourneys like this without Jodester Major thank you to Jodester for setting up the tourney, running the tourney, making sure everything played well and, heck, even fixing a completely unrelated issue with the garage door while he was here.
Great gathering, hosts, players, and helpers! Made it home around 10, so I'm *glad* I didn't make the finals in the main. Thanks for everything!
If your looking for a cool break from the Summer come Spash at my place for a Mid Summer Pinball Event!

I was! Would love to learn the nuances of that one!
All are invited and welcome to the second annual Lake Monster Madness! Scheduled for September 9th, I hope you’ll join us for pinball and friends. Been changing up the collection a bit and excited to put some new games in competition.

Wow, you *have* made some changes! Looking forward to it! Can't make the event at Bfults in August because it's our Fantasy Draft night.
When a big heavy box gets delivered, you call your pinball friends to help you move it to a good spot.
Unboxing & set-up pinball party at TigerLaw & Pavball's place on a big Monday evening.
...and yes, we fixed the board communication error, and were able to play the new game.

The collection of machines is awesome Tiger!
Thank you to everyone for getting that Godfather upstairs. That game is significantly heavier than a Stern.
Quoted from TigerLaw:That game is significantly heavier than a Stern.
Why is that? I've never had a JJP, and it isn't widebody, so I'm curious.
Congrats on the new game!
Quoted from scottslash:Why is that? I've never had a JJP, and it isn't widebody, so I'm curious.
Congrats on the new game!
The older JJP they were widebody tanks. Lots of barely long enough wiring that was bound to get jostled when moved.(WOZ and Hobbit)
Godfather seems to have WAY fewer wires on the underside of the playfield.
Quoted from Nevus:Hey Pinball friends. I’ve missed seeing all of you.
Henry and I just completed a week in West Virginia at the Boys Scouts National Jamboree.
This young fella is getting bigger every day.[quoted image]
Hey Nevus -
Hope you guys remember meeting me with Bryce at TPF. We had a nice chat about our future Eagles (about the same age) and their Scouting journey.
What great memories to experience Jamboree together!!
All the best to Henry!
Yes I sure do. Thanks and all the best to you and your Scout.
We are hoping to make NOAC in Boulder, CO next July.
Good stuff Nevus! A trifecta! A triple jackpot!
Talk about Holy Grail territory for 1980's pinball machines.
I'm not over-acting am I?
Well, I had a long day of moving machines. I ended up swapping out my restored Congo for a Rush LE.
I will check on September 9th as a possible trip weekend up to Shreveport to see the new Nevus collection.
Hey guys..picked up a few games this weekend that I’ll have available for sale and wanted to offer them up locally first. See this list below and just contact me for details if interested

Wonka LE

Quoted from Jodester:I will check on September 9th as a possible trip weekend up to Shreveport to see the new Nevus collection.
That might work. PavBall wants to go see Aaron’s new house lawyout as well so we can snag some ideas for our project. She may join us.

Man…you sold your Halloween for that Congo. Congrats on the RUSH….we have an LE also and it’s not going anywhere!!
hi! if anyone knows of a Twilight Zone available let me know. we met a new guy who wants just that one, baton rouge located, we would drive a ways for pickup if that matters. thank you!
Hello everyone... New here... I picked up a Street Fighter II a little over a year ago for next to nothing because it needs a lot of work... This is the second pin I've come in possession of and the first one I'm really looking to dig into, clean up and add to my modest collection of 2... My question for you is, once I'm done with getting the cabinet and playfield presentable, who in the Louisiana area should I bring it to for all of the electrical/mechanical work that needs to be done? Thanks in advance!!

The only place I know of is Gerald's Amusement Machines.

The only one of these that is left is going to be the Hobbit LE with radcals. If anyone local has any interest, hit me up and I'll fill you in on it

We didn't get any real offers for it so we ended up keeping it. It's only money right!! LOL. We have put over 1000s games on it and only have one small issue with it. The left spinner is a bit wonky now because the spinner assembly seems to be bent from being hit(assembly) over and over with the ball. I will get that resolved soon but it hasn't stopped us from enjoying this game tremendously.
Now time to start looking for the next one.
The TPF hotel block was essentially sold out when it opened. This is my first year to not get a room at the Embassy Suites.
I’ll be at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street and look forward to seeing all of you at the show.

They need a better hotel for the show. They outgrew the ES four years ago…
Quoted from Mudflaps:Also, I hope they don’t mind me posting, but thanks to two outstanding Americans for making the arduous journey to George Washington’s house this weekend. We drank, we ate, we sucked at pinball. You guys made my day! Nevus ElCid95 [quoted image]

Could not have said it better myself. Thanks Kyle! And thanks to 2 fine Americans for representing!
