I think it is worth the cost. I've seen ones sell on Ebay and private auctions for around 3-4.5k. I personally wouldn't pay more than 3k for that machine...
To all the people who claim the game isn't fun. It's a fun game... In a small pin collection... Yeah, it gets old. But, part of a 10-15 pin collection I think its perfect. I love playing the game. But, I do get bored with it at about 10-30 minutes of playing it.
Lastly about the computer and CRT... CRT you can replace easy enough. Or should be able to. I'm not a pinhead and such with pinball repair. But, I am a computer tech and I think that is a simple enough repair to be honest. The hard part would be the mount. You might have to make a new/unique one.
As per the computer... Again... That should be fixable... And if it is bad. And you replace/repair it. It probably won't need to be fixed ever again in the life cycle or at least the next 20 years. I think fixing the pc could in fact be easier than fixing some of the rarer boards out there.
I think its a cool find. And if it works. Well worth 1k.
But, that's just what I think. And I could be wrong. Been wrong many times. But, again I think the game is fun. Not the best game, not the worst.
