anybody gotten their pro this week yet? heard from distributor that they might ship this week . thx.

#2356 1 year ago

been itching to join club for awhile but it seems its gonna be a bit longer. my distributor told me monday that the pro i ordered a month ago wont be in til end of june now. bummer but worth the wait. first of june then middle of june and now end of june. that factory must be busy with all those maidens i guess.

#2361 1 year ago

you know what really sucks is when your game shipped last thursday and arrived at your local airport this past friday morning and i still havent gotten a call to set up delivery. is this how it usually works? got the tracking number from distributor yesterday for forward air and it shows game going from chicago to louisville and arriving the 22nd of june. i havent gotten a call or message about it. should i sit tight ? im slowly getting a little perturbed. i want my game. if im wrong and i should calm down let me know. its just bugging the crap out of me thats its been 30 mins from me for 6 days.

#2433 1 year ago

is that kosher since im not the one shipping. i guess i could. give me something to do ill give it a whirl. just getting frustrated because i wanted to surprise my grandson this weekend and have it ready to go. thx.

#2435 1 year ago

wolf thx so much for that advice. called customer service and they contacted dispatch who said they were running behind but she said shes filing it as a service failure because they havent contacted me since it arrived 6 days ago. she setup delivery for tomorrow afternoon. thx again for the great advice. i wasnt sure what to do and didnt want to bug the crap out of my distributor.

Finally in the club. Got my ulek protectors and shaker motor installed. My first nib and it was almost surreal opening that box and seeing how beautiful this game is and how lucky I was to have one. Hard to believe it's right here in my basement. Blast to play and just over the top for me.

Only had machine for 2 days but the pinball life shaker was first thing I put in. No problems and works well.

Bought an antifatigue mat off amazon for cheap and then used my cameo to make a one of a kind mat for my machine. Not perfect but fun to make.

Hey I was putting some comet matrix led strips for groots mouth ,scoop and target area and they aren't lighting up. I used the quick connects with led in them installed in gi under plastics and they all light up but the3 strips arent. I emailed comet a few hrs ago but I'm on a roll today putting service rails on various mods and I would like to finish today. What did I goof up? Thx

#2634 1 year ago
Quoted from Lermods:

Are you using 12v or 6v strips!

The bags a!l say 6.3 v. I checked that right away making sure I didn't buy wrong ones. I try and go slow and not rush when I'm doing anything to any of my machines because of my inexperience a and not wanting to F anything up. Lol

#2636 1 year ago
Quoted from MadPole:

I've had some older leds where polarity mattered. Most of the bulbs I've used lately will work hooked up either way.
Try reversing the polarity, just for grins.

The quick connects are bayonet base and then two Molex connectors go together just one way between the matrix Its got me stumped.

#2638 1 year ago
Quoted from hd60609:

Had this happen recently. Had some older matrix connectors and strips and used them with some newer ones and they didn't light up. Carefully, and I mean VERY CAREFULLY, pull the little wires out of one connector and reverse the polarity (as madpole) suggested. That did the trick. Try this.
If you want to see if the actual light or strip works before installing, try touching the leads to the ends of a 9v battery quickly. It should light. This will confirm it's not the bulb/strip...

Ok ill try it guys. Thx

I know some frown on too many mods and I was thinking the same thing at times in the middle of finishing my checklist but it looks good. Here's my checklist . waiting on 50 foot cord to run from my pinsub board to my quadraphonic setup in game room with powered sub. Fun and frustrating at times!
I put shaker and other plastic protectors on NIB day.

Made a led light box with clear pvc Sections to elevate figures and show off color changes. A diy topper. I think I'm done adding anything else. Been playing more than modding lately ...duh!

Go pro and then add shaker and plastic
protectors for sure. I went a little overboard with mods on mine and it came out to around 6200 bux total which still left enough money to buy another pin(F2K)
when I was considering pro or premium.

WTF is that a full size iron man? Holy crap.

Yeah got it off Amazon after I saw one in a video on YouTube of a guys awesome gameroom. He had a lifesize deadpool too. Probably
one of the goofiest purchases I've ever made but I freaking love it.
It's like 6 foot 5 . It was a big hit at party i threw for coworkers along with my Gotg pro.

I did the washer trick on the magnet core today
on my pro . My single magnet had always somewhat
deflected ball out of orb lock and every blue moon
It would really grab it and fling it. Before today
over the past week I wasn't even getting a deflection
anymore. So after adding the washers i played couple
games today with no change. Had glass off so I delayed
the ball about a second coming out and it
grabbed the hell out of it. So it's a timing
Issue. Anybody got any suggestions? THx.

You can buy a new polk or grab a similar sub
off of Craigslist for 40 to 50 bucks. Plenty of
good used subs. I've gotten 3 so far. Protectors
from ulek. Matrix in groot mouth, scoop and rampage
target. Shaker from pbl,art blades pingraffix, speaker
lights also look great and yes I got the Disney smaller
figure set and put them in also. Lighted flipper buttons.
Replaced pegs with service rails, replaced corner
cabinet brackets with beefier ones from pbl. Etc.etc. I
went a little crazy with mods but I had nib Gotg
pro fever! Enjoy your game honda!

That orange powder coat is sick! Looks awesome.

Service rails 50 bux bought and installed pbl
I modded the hell out of my Gotg pro
I had enough scratch for a premium but instead
Used the extra money left over after modding my pro
to buy a flight 2000 which is a win win in my book

Been using ninja chrome with no problems. Also add a shaker from pbl. Easy install.

#3713 1 year ago

Cleland sound mod as stated many times is a must. Also if you get rolling with the mods I would add service rails to replace the pegs. 50 bux and so much better when getting under the hood. Once you get more comfortable getting into your machine its fun to add some mods and personalize it if you want. But of course PLAY the hell out of it. I do!

I had the magnet problem and did the washer trick and some other things but the one thing that fixed it for good was getting the right slope on my game by trial and error with my leg levellers. Once dialed in on good slope a
Few months ago the magnet has captured the ball 100 percent of time.

Quoted from jtimmo:

Owner Introduction: I just purchased a Guardians of the Galaxy Pro New in box. It is still in the box. I found a great you tube video to show me how to set it up.
My question: What accessories and special care should I start thinking about before I assemble and start using the machine. My goals are two fold:
1. I don't want to cause excessive wear and tear due to anything I could avoid by doing something BEFORE I start using the machine.
2. I want find accessories, modifications, etc. that I can do to make the machine more interesting and nice looking. (examples: the baby groot shooter knob, and I think I have heard about some music modifications that might be available)
I am a novice pinball owner but have loved pinball for MANY years. Although budget matters somewhat, I certainly can afford to do whatever I want to take care of the machine properly.

Before I bought my Gotg 18 months ago I read this entire thread and it answered all my questions and gave me all the cool mod ideas owners had come up with. My advice is read the thread
