A big shout out and thanks to Sparky. I bought his really nice modded Pro. Enjoying the heck out of it.

Quoted from imagamejunky:

Just picked up a super clean GOTG Pro the other day. Very fun game. Everybody is enjoying it. It’s underrated IMO.
I was hesitant about buying my first Stern Pro. I absolutely hate the under playfield pegs. It’s ridiculous that Stern would release games where you can’t rest the playfield on rails to work on it. I’m adding the rails asap.
Have you guys had any issues with adding the rails? Anything in particular to watch out for?
Thanks in advance.

Where did you buy the PF rails and what is the part # ?
thx

Having a weird video problem. This has happened several times when I start a game. Playing as a single player, it continues until the game is turned off. Powered on again and it's gone. Any ideas? Still running 1.03 but didn't see that here was a fix in any of the updates.

#3227 5 years ago

Yes using Cleland. Stern advised updating code, but I thought 1.06 was causing problems.

I had that problem occasionally. I believe I posted the issue here and the advise I was given was that I didn't let the game fully boot before starting a game. Hasn't happened since then.

Tried the link to the new Cleland sound download and I'm still getting 404 error. Tried it with chrome and Firefox. Any help would be appreciated.
thx

They are available and an easy install. Can't remember where I bought them, possibly Pinball Life. Worth the time and money.

Woah, you can add the spinners to a Pro!? Anyone with a link on how to go about this?

I added one to the left orbit. Planning on doing the right.
Here's a guide I used.

Quoted from JohnnyHomeBrew:

What do you wire the spinners up to in terms of scoring?

I wired it to the standup switch that it is near. Scores as if you hit the switch.

Interested in a set as well. How close are they on clearance to the plastic ramps? I added a set of Groot hands and they would need to be about the same clearance.
thx

Has anyone had this problem? Suddenly the shooter lane auto launch is weaker. Doesn't make it to the top of the PF. Settings are at high(255), I put a new coil sleeve in, everything moves smoothly and alignment is correct.
thx

Quoted from DCRand:

Sorry, no idea, mines working fine. But if you want to come by and look at anything on mine to compare, let me know.

Thx, I'll try bending the forks and checking the coil stop first.

#6151 2 years ago
Quoted from Loganpinball:

Squeeze the auto launcher forks together a little. Over time the forks spread out and they are strikiing the ball on the outside. The forks need to hit more towards the center. The shooter rod tip needs to go freely between the forks, so dont over squeeze them.

I'll give that a try.
thx

Bending the forks worked.

Quoted from Markharris2000:

I purchased the spinner for my Pro, ready to do what you are thinking, and then realized that to install it, it would required some cutting to the plastics, a drilled hole in the playfield, and the software does not support it directly, so you'd have to piggy-back off of some other microswitch. In the end, I decided to leave it alone....

I had the same fear, but I braved it and i am glad I did. So far I have only done the left side. I followed the instructions I read somewhere on this forum(it was at least 1 year ago that I did it) and tied it into the left standup target. I used my bench grinder to cut out the notch in the plastic. I was hesitant, but it worked fine.
Good luck

I hooked the switch up to the nearest stand-up target .
