I just have to announce this to anyone who knows. I just got to Immolation Initiative for the first time since buying the game 1 YEAR AGO! Over 2000 plays. Only once. It was EXHILARATING!

This has probably been mentioned in the past, but in case anyone didn’t know, I just stumbled on a way to beat Escape Kyln without having to hit the tough Rocket shot.
Build up 6 hadron enforcers, start the mission via the scoop, cradle the ball on one of the flippers, use all Hadrons available, the Groot shot is still available as an alternative to the Rocket.
Like I said. Probably already known. But new to me after playing 2000 frickin games on my machine.
Quoted from bobukcat:How do you get 6 HE built up, I thought it maxed at 3 at a time with the newer code??
I have the 1.06 code and I can have 6 hadrons saved up. I also have adjusted settings over time. This may have been one of them. As well as the 15 sec ball save…
Quoted from nagamitsu:Any thoughts in way of options for Groot mouth motor? Found reference to the DCM-1018 from multiproducts.com as an option, however for a $30 part, they want to charge $175 just in shipping to Canada. I could try my local supplier for official Stern part replacement, however don't need the full Groot mouth assembly, just the motor.
I may attempt to strip apart existing motor to see if I can fix it first, since I can't make it worse.
Tim
I got a replacement directly from Stern. It took a while to get in, but eventually arrived. I also have a backup from Pinball Life. Both good motors.
Has anyone else with the new Cleland mod had a problem with the game getting stuck in the boot initialization process? I updated from 1.06 to 1.09 and every week or so the game won’t turn on and I have to burn a new SD card. Is it just my machine? I never had any issues with 1.06

Where can I get one?!
Quoted from timmmmyboy:Read through key posts regarding the Groot mouth but not sure if my issue is similar or not and whether it warrants a new motor or something else. The switches read just fine, but the motor is moving the mouth too far past the switch points so it will go all the way down and then come back up about halfway, similarly when closing it will close and then open itself back up a bit. Given the switch test reads properly would a bad motor be causing this or should I be looking to diagnose the board that drives it?
That’s exactly what mine does when the motor needs replacement. You could manually move the jaw and feel if it needs replacement. It will slip from the motor not working correctly.
