Quoted from PW79:

I have space/money.
My wife & daughter like GOTG.
I'd like to buy one but then I ask myself... how long will code take?
3 years?
5 years?
Then I get sad (about Stern's track record)... and think instead I should get TNA, AFM or (gasp) JJP Pirates.

Thinking of selling my Star Trek pro and getting pirates JJP. Plus I will need to add more cash, but it looks unbelievable

6,199.00 for a pro?

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

You must be new here.
Actual distributor price is always a good bit lower than msrp.

I know that Levi you crazy sob. So I am guessing around 5700

Quoted from TomGWI:

Who is coding this? My guess is Lonnie Ropp with the multipler inserts.

Code will be finished in 2021.

Quoted from jeffgoldstein2:

Do the Groot arms do anything at all that add to the gameplay or just block the view?

Just a happy ending.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

maybe it's not the hands that are big, it's the wiener in the hands making the hands look big?

Don’t excite Kevin Spacey he loves pinballs.

Actually they have allready shipped and people are receiving them tomarrow.

I don’t feel sorry for those who bought this game already and is being shipped. Rinse and repeat. That stream was hard to watch. I own three sterns and love the titles I have, but man lately....

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

Yes, likely as one looks at the numbers of the New factory, and a reasonable ROI.
I have approached Gary a couple times about a simple "Suggestion Box" online.
I even volunteered myself for Free help.
Other than theme, a contest for features, toys, unique play, ideas, in general.
Winner(s) get a Free Game!
Stern gets Intelligent, Quality ideas from Thousands of Inputs!
Add some coders and I think, or hope most all of our complaints would change, and some
Brilliant ideas could come to life!
In 5 years of Pinside, 45 in Pinball, a lifetime of conversations....Pinheads are pretty damn smart,
and have some great ideas.....why not hear them?

Well said, I often wondered this. Pinball players have great ideas.

I am going to try sterns approach on pins in my work setting this month. I am working on a huge project and I’m going to hand it in unfinished to my boss and say I will update and finish it in full later on. Is JJP games shipped with full code? I am asking just because it wouldn’t be fair only to target sterns code if they do the same I guess.

Guardians of the code pinball.

Quoted from DCFAN:

JJP's use of the displays reminds me a lot of what is done in licensed slot machines with some movie content and some in-house generated effects. Stern just seems to plop movie video content in when something happens in the game.

This is exactly what I saw and thought. Last nights stream showed it. All movie clips going while you’re playing with no rhyme or reason. I had to close the stream. The music was awfully integrated too.

Quoted from pninja005:

I'll grab one now and let it boxed till the code is completed. That way the playfield can rest and I won't have much dimples later on

Quoted from hank527:

I've played it and own it. I cannot see how it is remotely good. It has art and shots, but no call outs or code make it pointless. An EM machine at least has sounds that indicate something is going on.

You saved me money!!!

In all seriousness what is the number of updates provided to Star Wars code since it was released? Just trying to see how quick they did that one and how many.

#2819 2 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Now a couple of these were not "released", they were simply lumped in to the next one, but gives you a good idea. This is Dwight, not Lonnie. The other noteworthy item is that .93 actually seems to have everything there (all modes, Lightsaber Duel, wizard mode). The SW code is in a REALLY good place right now.
