Anyone see any sign of Drax? I don't at all.
Perhaps no license for him, or he's used on the screen a lot, or you play as him?

Quoted from thewool:Who designed this, was this the paedo's pin or done by someone else?
This one isn't Trudeau's, but stern did opt for a new marketing technique for GB old stock:
Quoted from jar155:At this point he's not even designing anymore. He's taking the same 3-4 ideas from all his games (and 1-2 from other peoples' games) and putting them in slightly different spots on the playfield.
The game looks fun, but there's absolutely nothing new or exciting here. At all.
I'm always excited to play a new game and I don't really give a shit about "innovation" as it's almost always terrible. Stern has always done well reheating their leftovers.
Quoted from Axl:Why do I want to bash groot? And why is he menacing looking?
TF had the same issue when you bash Optimus even when you selected autobots. Made no sense.

True. It’s pinball. What hasn’t been done before? There can’t/won’t be a game changing innovation on every game. What was the last innovation? RGB LEDs I guess?

The Danesi lock?
Quoted from bigd1979:It says' we are groot' ? On the backboard...
Reference to the end scene of GOTG. I wish they would've just stuck with "I am Groot."
Exactly. The game looks like fun. I play pinball to have fun. Most if not all Stern games are fun. The average person doesn't want to try and figure out 104 different modes. If you want that, there is another place to look.

Yep me to but whatever lol
The cabinet looks a little rainbow pukey in the pics. Not a fan of the LE gold. When its full size hopefully it's no so loud and so much. Groot looks great, if the mouth does not sync with him talking it will be an epic failure. Overall it looks better than recent efforts from Stern.
Quoted from Potatoloco:Unless I'm blind, I'm not seeing Thanos anywhere. That's a little disappointing.
You're blind. He's on the PF behind Ronin the Accuser and Nebula sitting in his space chair.
Quoted from ronaldvg:Again no wireforms even on the LE. I am sticking with my opinion on Stern
GOTG looks ok, but for me it (again) has not the wow factor, especially considering what they cost over here. This LE will be 10.800 Euro (about 11.500 dollar ?)
Personnaly i think Stern has made a big effort and has loaded well the game.
I need now to hear it and listen to music of the movies.
My big complain is this game really looks like Metallica. It appears like Stern did not give time to their designers to innovate or if designers earn money on each pin sold and so it is easier/Safier to do with rehashed games that already been successful
From the screenshots of the video, the arrow inserts are color changing -- and there's no groot arms, so that must be a pro? Possibly "more" RGB on the LE, but it seems like at least shot indicators are RGB on the pro too.
Quoted from GhostThruster:The Danesi lock?
Sorry to ask but what is the Danesi lock?
Thanks
Quoted from colonel_caverne:My big complain is this game really looks like Metallica.
It looks like a Borg layout. In general, Borg games are a fun time. I'm not sad.
Quoted from colonel_caverne:Sorry to ask but what is the Danesi lock?

Where a ball locks behind a drop target. You know, like in Star Trek... oops.
Quoted from gunstarhero:Where a ball locks behind a drop target. You know, like in Star Trek... oops.
The Danesi lock is specifically the stacked multiple drops/balls, not a single.

The gi is 3 colors on the premiums/le and looks to be just white on the pro? Inserts seem to be about the same on both?
Quoted from gunstarhero:You're blind. He's on the PF behind Ronin the Accuser and Nebula sitting in his space chair.
Awesome. Now I can go work on all my Waldo books.
On a side note, how in the world does Broker get a lane but not Thanos?
Quoted from beatmaster:$10 spinner missing on the pro.
Hopefully TimeBandit spinner kit will work.
But they should be there from factory.
Colourful and attractive, but also pretty 'safe'. Nothing surprising, but looks like it should play well. Definitely a game designed to attract coin drop on location above all else. Groot arms on the LE are a good touch though, they really do add a sense of scale to the model.
Quoted from epthegeek:The Danesi lock is specifically the stacked multiple drops/balls, not a single.
Hey, even Scott said he saw it on Star Trek, lol.
I don't believe it being "the Danesi lock" was really HIS idea anyways, that was more a community idea.
Quoted from GrimDog:if this has the music, i may sell my metallica for this.
Get ready for the IM and MET firesale!!!
Quoted from beatmaster:$10 spinner missing on the pro.
SERIOUSLY. Of all the things you can skip on a PRO the SPINNER is NOT one of them.
Quoted from epthegeek:It looks like a Borg layout. In general, Borg games are a fun time. I'm not sad.
Sorry but GOTG layout is really different from TWD which is different from AS which is different from X-MEN etc.
GOTG sounds really nice and hope an immersive game with movie musics. But it really looks like Metallica.
However i’m still a potential buyer of the premium but I want:
- movie musics, callouts from movies and/or actors
- great but different gameplay than Met.
Quoted from cosmokramer:Those plastic ramps sure twist a lot when the ball passes.
i agree.
Quoted from cosmokramer:So groot spits the balls sdtm like KISS?
Maybe the magnets in the middle of the play field engage to throw them around a bit?
Maybe the magnet in the middle of the play field captures a ball and you have to hit it to start Orb MB ... a la Mist multiball, but stationary?
I don't think Stern dropped the ball on this one. Is it something we haven't seen before? Definitely not, but it looks fun to play.
It does remind me a lot of MET with the ramps and a little bit of ST with the kickback shot and the target ball lock. I even see a little bit of Kiss in the playfield, with Groot's big head busting thru like Gene did on Kiss (A Borg trademark). I kinda like the ball lock feature involving Groot and I don't mind the big groot arms.
When I first heard of Stern possible making GOTG, the first thing I thought of was a big Star Lord helmet stationed somewhere on the playfield, with a ramp going around to the back of his head in order to lock (2) balls in the mask's eye sockets (something like Pinbot). That would have been cool!
I really enjoy playing a mates Metallica so i don't mind if GOTG is similar.
I'm a fan of Borg games, so if they work on the code and make this a fun game, then i will eventually get a pro.

Is that Kevin Spacey the child molester?
Quoted from Cobra:Do we know if the music from movie will be in the pin?
I would think if it did, it would have been mentioned in the feature matrix, so I'd be inclined to say no. I can only imagine what the licensing costs would be to get a bunch of songs from the movie.

Relax dude. Go take a cold shower and come back pls
