I wonder when we will be able to get a look at the entire game with a populated playfield? I’m excited to see it.

Quoted from bigd1979:Not a drop bank bc it has a arm attached to it.
Yes, the arm looks like a drop target reset rake to me...that's why I said that.
Here are the rumors I've heard:
- The game is rumored to be shipping in November
- It is rumored the game will be at IAAPA in Orlando which takes place November 13-17th
- Rumors that John Borg designed it and Christopher Franchi is the artist
- Rumored to have two flippers (not three as originally posted)
- Rumored to have two ramps (not three as originally posted)
- Rumored to have a large Groot head that is possibly like Rudy on Funhouse and possibly eats pinballs
- Deleted (originally "Rumored that an upper flipper is used to hit the Groot head")
- Rumored to have one of the best toppers ever
- Rumored to see the full reveal tomorrow

Then they better be ready for an internet ass whooping
Problem is I feel Star Wars price hike was unjustified. Again only my opinion....but if they raise the price it would feel almost like double dipping. If they can manage to not raise the price at all and leave it at SW price level then they'll get praise instead of getting hammered on price.

SW has to have a HUGE licensing fee. More than Marvel I would imagine......
$5,999 Pro
$7,499 Pre
$8,499 LE
or lower would be nice...

all their price hikes are unjustified. It's not like the games magically shot up in production costs on every release. If anything, with how cheap spike system is for them to make, the price should have went down. Reason they wanted spike, is because it's dirt cheap for them to make. Do we get a price break now because of the cheap ass spike system? Nope. Not only is there no price break, but a price hike. SO we get a shit board system, a disposable game 10 years from now and have to pay more to even buy it.
So subtract $800 from each of these (U.S. only) and I think you're pretty close.

Quoted from Blacksun:Also looks like Ronan's staff will have an Infinity stone light up in it.... VERY KEWL!!!!
How about some light up armor (like STLE) with the staff and jewel on it?
Quoted from colonel_caverne:yes! i think there is a least a third flipper.
i can see it on the video on the back of playfield. 8-9s.
if so can check, would be cool
upper right i think
Oups, it rather sounds like a pop bumper. silly I am!
So I don’t know if there is this third flipper or not.

I hope you are right with the 3 flippers and ramps

Same here
Seems like the Shoot Again insert is gone in favour of some other flasher/light... "shoot again when eye.... is lit"
Quoted from Who-Dey:Same here
We can see 2 motors on the back. 2 toys?
Anyway one seems to be in the top center.
here we go again....hype hype hype.....followed by hate hate hate.....
The market for used pins is going to be even more flooded.....yay, because I just sold one and now I have an open spot.

We’ll see, but why would we be slamming Groot in the face with balls? Isn’t he a good guy? Same thing as TF: why are we bashing Optimus in the nuts? I guess if you chose to play as a Decepticon that at least made some sense...

Damn, if only Groot had nuts. I liked that mech, even if it did tend to be a bit flaky at times.

I’m out their quality and craftsmanship aren’t there anymore. Wish someone else made it. It’s been a year and still waiting on ghostbusters code
Quoted from pin2d:- Rumored to have one of the best toppers ever
That'd be cool, if we ever see it. How long has it been since Star Wars was announced and no official accessories from STERN released?
Quoted from jar155:Ropp did fine with Aerosmith. Don't discount him until you see what he does.
I really like the rules on Aerosmith. Straight-forward and to the point. I love how each song/mode adds an extra element to scoring in the game once you complete them. Lonnie can do some great things.
Quoted from 3pinballs:I’m out their quality and craftsmanship aren’t there anymore. Wish someone else made it. It’s been a year and still waiting on ghostbusters code
I've bought 6 NIB STERN games (TFLE, TWD, IMVE, GOTLE, GBPrem, and SW) in the last 4 years and none of them have had any quality or craftsmanship issues. I think the QC issues are over hyped by some sensitive pinsiders. The others that have legitimately received substandard product I believe are being made right (at least the ones I know of).

Are you sure? Whatever happened to Tanio and Watson?
BM66 - Lyman
AS - Ropp
SW - Dwight
GOTG - Waison/Tanio?

They generally work with Lonnie.

I'm just repeating what Head 2 Head Pinball podcast reported today.
ALSO ---
Looks like it says "LE LIGHT CLEAR". At least clear coat is something that they are mindful of.
Quoted from colonel_caverne:I guess this is the same with flipper
3rd flipper shoots the Groot head maybe, no main ramp there, so a 3rd flipper is still possible with just 2 ramps, just not like ST, where that 3rd flipper shoots the Warp ramp.
Yes it is possible.
I saw also 2 motors underside. I guess 2 motorized toys or one toy + motorized standup target bank?
Quoted from Neal_W:I'm just repeating what Head 2 Head Pinball podcast reported today.

If they add clear coat to rectify the dimpling that would be AWESOME!!!!
Quoted from Blacksun:If they add clear coat to rectify the dimpling that would be AWESOME!!!!
Thicker clear coat is likely going to dimple more, not less.
I didn't know that. Thought the clear adds strength to the surface while protecting it.
Hopefully they use a better wood then...
Quoted from CaptainNeo:clearcoat has nothing to do with dimples. It's the wood underneath that dents, not the clear.
I had cleared a 25 year old TZ pf that obviously already had 25 years of dimples. As soon as we cleared it dimples everywhere. Categorically wasn't the wood, so must have been the clear.
Quoted from cooked71:I had cleared a 25 year old TZ pf that obviously already had 25 years of dimples. As soon as we cleared it dimples everywhere. Categorically wasn't the wood, so must have been the clear.
Not sure what type pf clear coats they use but I know they have resin clear coats now that are crazy durable...
Quoted from jgentry:Thicker clear coat is likely going to dimple more, not less.
Not only that but thicker clearcoat would make ghosting more likely to occur.
Quoted from Blacksun:Not sure what type pf clear coats they use but I know they have resin clear coats now that are crazy durable...
Did you reserve your number?????
Quoted from cooked71:As soon as we cleared it dimples everywhere. Categorically wasn't the wood, so must have been the clear.
You should easily be able to support this statement by showing dimpling on the inserts.
On the 34 or so pins I still own, I've yet to see a dimpled insert. Therefore I would be in agreement with CaptainNeo, until other such evidence is presented.
Quoted from ExtremePinball:When did charging a retail customer extra for using a CC become decriminalized?
Don’t know. I’ve never heard it was criminalized, so that question is news to me.
Quoted from CaptainNeo:do they? that sucks. Never bought a game with credit.
So long as you pay your card off in full every month it’s a great deal to use your credit card over cash to buy expensive items. Credit cards have valuable reward programs and cash back, paying cash gives you no bonuses.
Quoted from Cdonnerusmc:Got my LE on pre order.
This is why every “Stern better learn their lesson!” thread is silly.
Quoted from flashinstinct:Not only that but thicker clearcoat would make ghosting more likely to occur.
I don’t know about ghosting, but chipping is more likely.
Quoted from oldskool1969:" I am Groot "
I wonder if Groot had any trouble remembering his lines in the movie?
Your much smarter, you would not buy this Stern junk box of lights.
Quoted from robotron:plastic groot toy! i am in for le #069!
