Quoted from KingBW:

Pinheads … you don't know what you'll be missing with the SE vs. the LE (Wonkavator multiball carry-over) until you get to play the Wonkavator mutliball. We played a Wonka LE maybe 10 times at the VFW show between yesterday and today. One ball was locked in the Wonkavator this morning and I locked another one in the Wonkavator before lunch (I think I figured out how to do it, but I still don't know what qualifies it). Then this afternoon I locked the 3rd ball and on locking the 3rd ball the multiball started after a brief intro showing the Wonkavator crashing through the roof with the Wilder audio and video assets. There was quite a light show and the multiball lasted probably 3-4 minutes for me. Not sure if I was hitting what I was supposed to, but heard "jackpot" a few times. It was pretty exciting to see that and play that. It might even get better with future code. It would be pretty rare to experience Wonkavator multiball with a SE unless you're a real good player (from my current understanding of the carryover difference). I like the game a lot, the more I play and learn it. At times it is a tough unforgiving game for missed shots. [But currently I still like JJPOTC more.] My deposit for Wonka LE will still stay put. Glad I had the opportunity to play it again. Thanks VFW show, JJP, and Abel for providing the game.

Genuinely can't tell if you're being sarcastic in this post. A multi-ball that takes an entire day to achieve? For 2k? I don't get it.

Quoted from KingBW:

No ... the game was at a show. That day I only got back in line during the day about 5 times. It appears that no one else was locking the Wonkavator balls that day (Sunday). When you lock a ball in the Wonkavator physical ball lock, it stays there and carries over from game-to-game until all 3 balls are locked. This is only on the LE and CE though. The SE is a virtual lock and doesn't carry over from game to game.
In theory alone, think of the Apollo 13 game. The ball locks carry over from game-to-game until the 13th ball is locked and then they all get released.

no no, I get how it works. Just don't really get why it's worth an extra 2k. The fact that it was at a show and hundreds of people played it and 3 balls were locked in an entire day makes it sound pretty rare and useless.

DISAPOINTED!!! I seen and played several times the new Wonka and I wanted to like it and add it to my collect. But I was badly disappointed. It does no live up to the JJ machines of the past. I expected so much more in the modeling of items on the play field like OZ. They had so much they could have used from the movie. But they cheaped out. So sad for a great title. I guess I will have to wait till something more worthy comes along to add to my collection. So sad!

CONFIRMED: Trump is on Pinside.

Was at an arcade over the weekend in Los Angeles and saw - what appears to be - the exact same assets on this machine. I know this happens sometimes on slot machines, but never seen it on some sorta quarter-pushing luck machine in an arcade.

Don't speak about me and you'll be better off. Understand that then move on. Best advice I can give you as I could absolutely care less about you or your opinion but your big mouth gets you in trouble.
Reread what I said, understand and then act accordingly. That's the answer.

Cool community.

Quoted from Aurich:

Sure, everything is subjective, someone likes the sound package I'm sure. But it's not like I'm alone in the woods on this one, just looking back over the last page or two of comments you see this:

A fun game with an uninspiring art package is still a fun game. But if your sound is bad that's imo a big deal, because you hear it every time you play. If it's grating or irritating that's gonna kill your interest in playing.

I played Wonka in a completely quiet bar for about 30 minutes a few weeks ago (the pre-production LE that was floating around on the West Coast). Could hear the sound perfectly. Thought it was great. Definitely didn't stand out as bad or any worse than any other pins I've ever played. I actually remember enjoying it and thinking that the music didn't get annoying. The announcer fit in well with the game.

I agree with this as well. I've been vocal but my final judgment should be coming tonight once I've played it.

FINAL judgement after a few games, one night, on early code? Okee.

Quoted from delt31:

final judgement on the current status......yes. If I play a ton more and it changes my mind for some reason sure I'll update. haha man you guys are so literal. Relax.
btw as JJP revises gameplay and updates things - well then I play that and provide my judgment then too.
See how this works?

I wasn't being literal. I just know what the word final means

Great pic! I wonder if this pin is a good candidate for pin stadiums, looks a little dark, but hard to tell from pics. My Hobbit is I bright, and so is DI, so I assumed WW would be equally so. How does it feel in person? Is it dark in the middle of the pf?
