I agree. I openly admit I bought w/o playing. Am I disappointed .... yes, but that's because I am not getting enough playing time right now and well I suck at it. That being said its a great game with a ridiculous amount to do on it and in the home I don't think you can tired of playing it because of the massive amount of variation.
All that taken in context we like the game a lot HOWEVER you should always try before you buy otherwise it is gambling.
I do believe on this game the gamble is pretty low though. In addition the NIB LEs are disappearing fast. Standards can still be bought at multiple vendors and a few CEs still around. Eventually there will be some on the secondary market but no idea when or at what price. I believe I have only seen 2 in the last 3 months come up for sale. One was someone selling to move to the CE and was basically NIB price. The other was a person selling off his entire collection. Discount was decent (about $500 off NIB) and I almost bought it but the lack of transferable warranty told me not worth it.
Up to you of course but even if you get it and you don't like something tells me you won't lose much $$ on it if any unless you mod it out first.
