My World fair is playing up. It's been in storage for a good 15 years since I bought it and I thought I'd see what is going on with it prior to giving it a full overhaul.

So , this is what is happening. From its first start, the ones reel kept running, along with the motor. I cleaned and adjusted its switches and it, and the other two reels, ran to zero. However, the motor continued to run. So then I cleaned the reset relay switches of the 15 years of dirt, and the motor then stopped correctly. Resetting the game with the reels at zero or with random scores that I've put on them will allow the machine to reset, reels all zero, motor shuts of and I hear the final click that would normally allow the ball gate to open, and the playfield is live.

But following the click sound, the playfield is dead, I.e no flippers or coils and the ball trough holds all 5 balls. I have cleaned and checked the trough switches and those adjacent to the opening arm mech but no joy.

Any ideas please? I have a schematic for it.

I went through all the switches again but they were correct. However, under closer inspection and checking continuity with a meter, I discovered a broken link wire on the X relay. Replacing it cured the problem.Thanks again.
