Pulled the BG from Target Alpha last nightand started on the checking/ cleaning of the credit stepper- I am unable to put more than 10 credits on the wheel - is this normal? There is a mechanical stop/post in the stepper that hits an aluminum blade in the switch stack and so 10 credits are all I can put on the unit- see photo- I assume this is normal- or am I missing somehting?

You can adjust the "Post" on the Credit Stepper by selecting another hole accordingly.

It's nice to actually have an "Easy Fix" once in a while.

I'll take all of those I can!

Why would an operator want to limit the credits on any given machine?

May be intended manufacturer design.

It would be a way to limit free games to a maximum amount.

I have an Aztec with a credit wheel that goes to the 30's but is limited to 18.

In the end, all the games are free on my pins

I think default is 15 credits from the factory. Apparently, the operator didn't want anyone winning more than 10 credits at a time...........

So it would not cut into his profit on the 4 players possibly matching multiple times/high score hits for replays.

I vividly remember 15 credits being the factory default max on Gottlieb's I played back in the late 60's and 70's. The first time I ran across a game set like yours, to a 10 credit max, I thought, "who in the heck would have done that"...
