Hi all, I have a Gottlieb Monte Carlo (System 80b) machine that is having intermittent issues. Sometimes it powers up and plays fine and other times it powers up and won't play (start button does nothing) or powers up and plays without music. I have no idea where to start to troubleshoot this issue so any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

System 80 games demand a few things after all these years.
1. Replace the 500 ohm trim pot on the PS, and set it to 5.05V
2. If both sides of the edge connectors aren't clean and shiney, retin the male sides and repin the female sides. If the connectors can be removed very, very easily, they need to be repinned.
3. Add the ground mods as specified here: http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Gottlieb_System_80#Ground_updates
4. If any corrosion on the MPU board, abate it.
5. If the MPU has a battery on it, remove it and mount a remote battery or replace the 5101 with an NVRAM.
