The picture shows the player unit from my GTB Hot Shot from 1973. It's setup for a one player game, 1st ball is in the shooter lane.

The game works as expected except the back glass Ball in Play lites do not illuminate. I've indicated the rivets that feed to the BiP lites. Placing 6V at these rivets with a jumper wire does illuminate the BiP lites.

The schematic snippet shows the area of concern. (1st, 2nd, 3rd (and 4th) coin lites - ie the back glass 1, 2,3 & 4 can play lites work, so power is getting to the SLate wire at the player unit. (Labeled X on my schematic)

The wires are dirty and faded, but the likely candidate for the SLate wire is indicated on my picture. Can someone confirm this is correct? (every other physical wire going to the disk seems to be two coloured) I can't trace it to anywhere - can anyone point out where it should come from? 1st player coin lite has just a single SLate wire.

I know there are links run behind the wiper disk but have never seem this documented - does anyone have a diagram showing the links?

Any tips on why the BiP lites are not working? Is the position of the wiper fingers correct?

Solved - Thanks for the replies and pinhead52 you were absolutely correct - cleaning up that feed got the BiP lights working.

For anyone following the connection is made from the player unit metal frame via the wire pinhead52 shows, thru the shaft to the inner most spring wiper which touches the inner circle of rivets. These rivets go in groups of four, (ie the first four are ball1, player1, player2, player 3 and player 4, next four are ball 2, p1, p2 etc) The inner circle rivets have a link behind the disk plate that connects to the BiP wires that I indicated in the first picture.
