Loosen the set screws in both of the pawls first for both flippers. Then, while holding the plunger all the way into the coil (hold the plunger all the way into the coil, not the link, because any slop in the linkage will make lining up the second flipper much harder) on one of the flippers, set the position you want the flipper to be in when activated and tighten the set screw (allow for a slight up and down movement so it doesn't bind in the bushing). Then do the other flipper, tightening the set screw so that it matches the position of the first flipper you just did (again in the activated position). Getting the second one to match the first may take a few tries, and each time you will have to raise and lower the playfield to check your progress. Once they both match in the activated position and the pawl set screws are tight, address the resting position...either loosen and slide the stop bracket to set the resting position the same for both flippers, or use pliers and gently bend them to set the desired position. If bending, be careful not to pry the mounting screws out of the playfield. Make sure the screws are tight when done.
