one of the Best guitarists Neil Schon had such potential until he stepped in Bubble Gum.Pat Travers and Pat Thrall killed it too.
I used to go to shows were Pat Travers,Blue Oyster cult and Cheap Trick were on the ticket almost every time. And the Led Zeppelin Day on the green in Oakland with openers Judas Priest.

Quoted from John-Floyd:

I own Gilmours' "The Black Strat" - is that racist too?

I have a Blackie,Its my favorite guitar it has sustain for days.I have always thought it was named for its beautiful black finish.
my next favorite is a strat setup with DG20s I know I mentioned that before. If I removed Musicians from my collection because they got crazy I would lose half my stuff.Clapton ,Terrible Ted,Yngwie Different levels of crazy.

Quoted from xsvtoys:

I think that’s more of a historical music joke than a dirty joke. I gave a listen to a bunch of Cream songs today to refresh my memory. What stood out the most to me right away was the overall sound of the band in the songs. You can actually prominently hear the bass guitar which I always liked, and the drumming is obviously good. They weren’t known as the first supergroup back then for nothing. Clapton did pretty good on some of their originals. Sunshine of Your Love has a classic riff and is probably the most famous. Maybe he overdid it on the wah in Tales of Great Ulysses, but the solo in White Room was sort of the mic drop of the day for the wah pedal. Although I think Terry Kath did it better in 24 or 6 to 4.
A lot of the songs feature something close to wanking especially in remakes of old blues songs like Crossroads, Spoonful, Born Under a Bad Sign. But they did give songwriting credit to the originals at least.

and another Terry Kath mention,if anyone doesnt know how good this guy is check youtube.

Quoted from Pinstein:

Neil Schon was shredding it a decade before metal was born.

I consider Neil a wasted talent, after the 1st 3 albums which were outstanding I had high hopes. He chose bubble gum money.Still one of my favorites.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

From a couple weeks back in Belgium. Great guitarist and really pulling the weight in priest now.
[quoted image]

This reminded me of M Shencker,Both Mikes use the V and long Blond hair.My 1st guitar was an epihone flying V because of this guy.I still have it .Couldnt afford the expensive model then but its a player for sure.
