    Quoted from Lermods:

    Much longer than normal.

Oh yeah... MUCH longer than normal.
After opening when getting off vacation last Tuesday - I got 2 weeks worth of orders in just a couple hours. I had never seen orders come in this fast. Gave it a few days hoping it would slow down but they kept coming so I had to disable the shopping cart. Still digging out and there is light at the end of the tunnel, I just wish the tunnel wasn't so long!

I do fill the orders in the order they arrive. Yes, it does suck when Priority is selected but, unfortunately, there isn't much I can do.

Oh, don't think I haven't considered that one! This was supposed to become my real job as I planned to take an early retirement two years ago.

Yes, I would love this to be the full time job. Only one problem... health insurance. I no longer have a real option for obtaining health insurance without keeping my other job.

    Now.. back to orders...

Anybody ever notice the kinked legs on the axial electrolytic capacitors?
For small orders, I always kink the legs for cement resistors and anything larger than the smaller size electrolytic caps.
(That one 18000 in the bottom corner is bent due to shipping)

After shipping tons of orders - electrolytic caps have been my only complaint. If I don't kink the legs - at least one of the legs will inevitably poke out through the bag and out through the corner of the box.
I normally kink the cement resistors as well. Look at his 0.4 ohm resistors - you can tell I must have been in a hurry and didn't kink the legs... and you can see leads sticking out through the side of the bag.

Well.... I ordered linear IC's this week... and I forgot to order those.
I do have a whopping five of them in stock - will add them to my website in a few min.

    Platypus -
My website is *supposed* to keep in-process shopping cart's for 10 weeks. But once in awhile, it does hiccup. Also, if the cart is filled without logging in - it can only be tracked by a cookie. Cookies have a nasty habit of expiring. Helps to keep them going if you log-in for filling a cart.

Once you start the checkout phase, then there is an expiration period. If the checkout has started and not completed within 7 days - then the cart expires and is purged. I can't really go any longer than 7 days as this prevents "tire kickers" from locking up all my parts in "incomplete" orders.

... note - just bumped in-process carts from 10 weeks to 20 weeks. An item placed in a cart and held there does not mean the part is reserved. Ten people could have the same part in their cart but he who gets to the checkout phase first with a part gets the part.
