So... it is the end of 2016 and I'm wondering how difficult would it be to make a pinball machine of my own. Gravity Falls, a show which had finished earlier that year and was something I enjoyed watching, I decide would make quite a good theme for a pinball machine.
I spent 2017 just jotting down ideas. This progresses to a life size layout sketch and then a cardboard and polystyrene facsimile of the basic shape of the table upon which I could flick a pinball-sized marble about and ponder how shots might work etc. (see attached photos)
I then decide that I'll only progress to actually building something if I can get my head around the programming. After much trial and error I settle on using the MPF (Mission Pinball Framework) and have now spent 6 months programming my machine. I'm just getting to the point where I feel confident enough about the programming to feel that I *can* proceed to a physical machine. Hence why I'm posting about it now.
Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?
