I have a grand prix that is finally working after some bonus countdown issues. But now I'm seeing that the top bonus hole only lights for the right bonus award. Its supposed to switch with the leaf switches behind the rubbers up top, right? Or is it tied to the slings or some other switch?

I think it’s an alternating switch on the match unit

So thats the left and right bonus arrow, not the top bonus hole light. see my image, the yellow circled lights are what I'm talking about not the bottom arrow.

On my game currently, in game over, the left lamp is lit. When I start a game, it goes to the right lamp. no switches seem to make it switch. All ball advances / outhole relay don't move it. Only thing that switches it is the game over relay.

I think theres a switch in rhe score motor that also works this. Check the schematics !

There's a Make/Break switch (at 11A on the schematic) on the Change relay that drives those lights. The Change relay is driven by an alternating switch on the Match Unit as DNO suggested.

It could also be switch C in the far right stack on the score motor.

The change relay operates from a small blade switch thats located on the match unit in between the two wiper discs. Its cam operated to open and close as the match unit advances. This is what makes the two circled lights work. Rotate it manually by hand and see if they change. If they change, then this is where your issue is. The cam is most likely not turning normally. Unfortunately a common problem with this unit.
