during a reset the 100k and sometime 10k scoring reels for player 1 (that im noticing) aren't cycling as fast as they should be, or in sequence with the hundreds, thousands reels. meaning there's clicking going on but the 100k and 10k aren't cycling with all the clicks like the others are. they'll eventually all reset to zero, but the 100k and 10k are much slower as they are not rotating as fast of sequence as the others. i tried cleaning the contacts on no. 3 reset relay and 100k. pt and 10k pt relays. all seemed to be working and switchs adjusted ok.

Sounds like the score reels need cleaned and adjusted.

Could be dirty or misadjusted reset relay contacts for those particular reels.

Set up identical scores on all players. If it’s only player one that is slow compared to the rest, clean the score reels and adjust the tension on the switches.

If it’s all the players, then look at the adjustment on the point relays - you’re looking for a dwell time that is too short.

cleaning the reels consists of taking the wheel off and cleaning the contacts between the "circuit board" and contacts that ride/spin on it, right?

And cleaning gunk/dirt off of plunger, sleeve, reel shaft, gears, pivots, slides, etc.

thanks howard, i traced this circuit but may have missed something. for the coil to fire, the no. 3 reset relay switches need to be clean and closed, and the zero position switches on those circuits needs to be closed too, correct?
