Grand Prix
Williams, 1976Working on a Williams Grand Prix. It has a few oddities. One issue is that the top eject saucer(when lit for advance left bonus) and L outlane both improperly activate the 500pt relay in addition to the proper scoring of 5000 for the saucer and 10000 for the L outlane.
From the schematics the only activation of the 500pt relay is a left and right standup switch. I imagine there is a short somewhere but the location is eluding me.

Check resistance between BR-B-3 wire on 500 re with Y-BLU-4 wire on left bottom rollover switch and with R-BLU-2 wire at top eject relay.
Should not be a dead short on any of them as you are going thru 2 coils but you may find that it is.
That would be a start of solution for pinpointing problem.
I had something similar...and it only takes a few seconds to check this; there are 2 switches each at the "Advance Left Bonus 500" and "Advance Right Bonus 500". Mine had one closed when they should be both NO. Gave all sorts of strange scoring. Maybe that's not it, but worth the two seconds it takes to check. Henry
