This Grand Prix is our second one.
I sold my nicer one to a friend.

My wife asked why I sold her favorite !
This this complete restoration !

Pulled out of a church in Springfield MO.
1. The metal was rusted - almost all metal has been sanded and buffed to a mirror finish.

2. Playfield worn- complete restoration

3. Cabinet was delaminated - soaked in glue, sanded, bondo and restenciled. Three applications of clear coat.

Still work to do.
Newest pictures are first.

Wow, let me know when you want to sell this beauty and restore another....just amazing.

Amazing work!

The siderails, lockdown bar and coin door look absolutely amazing! What materials / process did you use to obtain that mirror finish? I am a 'Clean / Shiny' freak, so if I am able to do the same for my machines, I will gladly invest the time / effort to do so.

I think I posted a link in the Grand Prix threads to the system we used.

Compounds and a grinding wheel with pads.

We replaced the lockdown bar and reciever with new. The bar hasn't been polished yet.

Much to my amazement I told my wife a few people were interested in buying her machine.

She said she'd sell it for the right price.

I guess my girl loves Shoes more than pinball !

Damn... my stencils look Fabulous! NICE JOB! I remember loving this machine as a kid back in the 70's at the 5 & 10 store

#16 8 years ago

Yes those stencils are great
The line up system makes it simple.

The quality and service from Pinball Pimp is stellar.

Looking forward to the next project and your stencils :
