The big plastic just to the left of the spinner - the claw looks great. The area has lots of stonework but I think it could use another boney part mixed in there somewhere to break it up a bit. Does that make any sense?
Quoted from Luzur:You only have 2 buttons on your coindoor? Mine have 3.
Quoted from KevInBuffalo:I think that's a US/Europe difference. My Doctor Who is a reimport and has three coin slots.
I think your on to something here. I have two GL's and the reimport has three while the US version only has two. Its hard to say what all has been done to these pins since they rolled out of the factory but I would bet some of the older operators could shed some light.
Thanks for posting the info regarding the proto bg's. I am interested but hung up on their wording a little. Complete restoration...new tempered glass. These are new backglasses - you are not sending in your originals. Is this correct? They are selling licensed backglasses with the original proto art adapted for the system 11 lighting config.? I'm a little slow today and need things clearly explained.
Quoted from djreddog:General question for installing LED's in a game. Is there any general "rule of thumbs"? I'm new to all of this and I'm looking to pick up some LED's at Pinfest this weekend. But I have no clue where to begin. For example I can choose from Domes, SMDs, Brights, Super Flashers, Non-Ghosting. I don't know where to start. Let me say that I am not trying to restore these games or looking to resell them for a fortune. I'm simply looking for some LED's to install that "get the job done".
There are no general rules but if you choose to install led's that create a skittle-puking rainbow effect please resist the urge to post pics. I have found that Comet Sunlights work well in many situations and have quickly become my favorite.
Luzur, I just checked my game and the hero is clean shaven. Yours does appear to have decided to sport the 'stache. Makes him look a little like Captain Freedom in The Running Man movie.
Grand Lizard is such a fun game. Mine is finally playing perfectly (thanks Erik) and I am falling in love with this pin. I dig the upper flipper action and earning that bell is so satisfying. Ripping the spinner and hearing the monkey screams puts a huge smile on my face every time. The magnets only add to the chaos when the flashers are going off after hitting X bonus. Challenging to keep multiball going and while I am not a big fan of centerposts, I think the one in GL is appropriate. Sweet game. I am finding it difficult to walk by it and not power it up for some good pinball.
