One of my workers told me Grand Lizard wouldn’t kick out a ball when a game started. So I looked at the coil and it was burnt, coil sleeve melted. Replaced that and checked all the fuses. All good. Then I was checking the board over and saw a nice burned area. Can this be repaired or is a system 11 board in my future? Who can repair these? Thanks for any insight

I think that’s repairable. May have to jumper a trace or two but fixable.

Who can fix it?

You can. You tube my friend. If you’re not brave enough to try there are folks who do board repair. Hopefully this thread will find you one in your area

Yeah I don’t mess with board repair. Not enough time nor precision. I’ll find someone who repairs them somewhere.

Those resistors are a hack. Email Rob Anthony, explain what you've done and attach the first and second pics. He should be able to get the board squared away. You'll need to replace the coil and sleeve.

Rob Anthony does great work.
You could also go to Chris Hibler, who also does great work.

Thanks for the info guys. Emailed Rob Anthony. Yeah the coil and sleeve I already have replaced.

When random coils burn in system 11 it's a good idea to check the power supply as well. If capacitors are original best to replace as low voltage can cause system lock ups and burnt coils.
Loose flipper diodes as well. Looks like that coil was replaced before.

It had a power supply issue before I got it apparently, as it has a rottendog in it now.
