The 1970 Parts Catalog references part number D-8624 for “Lightbox - 1 player”. The 1978 catalog has the same number, which is a reference for the engineering drawing Gottlieb kept in their filing cabinets—now in possession of Steve Young at PBR. These engineering drawings contain exact measurements and specifications for the construction of their parts. So Ken is right, any ’70s lightbox will work. If anybody has an earlier catalog and can confirm the same part number was used, please look. My hunch is all wedgeheads are probably the same.

Incidentally, the lightbox was $39 in 1970 and $72 in 1978. Big jump in price!
