Trying to help determine fair value for a Gottlieb Volley for a colleague at work. I have not yet seen the machine but have been told it powers up but does not start a game. I suspect it may be out of credits and probably needs a thorough cleaning of contacts. The current owner had this in their garage on a pallet for quite some time and has lost the keys and leg bolts but found the legs. Playfield and backgkass look decent for age. In full disclosure thinking of making her an offer but would like it to be fair. Was not able to find many transactions for this particular machine, so welcome any thoughts on how much this machine might be worth. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Nice ones go for $800-1200, so maybe $500-600 would be fair

Clean looking unit, popular too.

Value is north of $750 if not $1000 easy. What you offer is up to your conscience.

But it’s not currently working and has been sitting in a garage. Cleaning these games and getting them right takes a lot of labor. Ultimately, it may only be worth around $800 or so. The unknown is a significant detraction.

Not working with an EM is really not a huge issue.

All the value is in playfield, backglass and cabinet in that order. The fact it isn't working is irrelevant to value IMHO.

I'd wager I could have it up and running in under 10 minutes.

Playfield and backglass look very, very nice. From what I can see of the cab, looks good too. If the cab looks as good as the head I stand by my assessment of value.

Again, what is offered is entirely up to conscience.

I bought 4 years ago for $500.

It was not working. It took a little while to work all the demons out of it and it needed a deep cleaning inside and out.

Still, I felt like $500 was a steal for this title.

Pinball market has shifted a bit since then, everything has doubled in the last 2-3 years.
