You're the first person I've heard giving the meter any interest at all, let alone a re-build, since it rarely indicates the machine's actual usage or condition. They usually count actual games played, but in the business, we re-wired to count coins instead.
I can appreciate your interest in originality but doubt anyone actually sells parts for the counter. Others, I'm sure will chime in if they're available but even so, I would purchase a used meter from one of my local EM buds and simply wire it in or in your case, use for parts. They should be dirt cheap. The step-up coil inside burning out was mostly the reason they failed, but that didn't happen often.
