I bought one very cheap, and so far I'm thrilled to what has gone right - after replacing all the fuses, re-grounding the game, the game boots no problem. The mpu is very clean. 4 of 5 displays work. No sound yet.

I haven't gotten the manual ordered from Steve yet, so I'll ask here.

When I start a game, all the GI lighting turns off until the ball drains. I have no solenoids working except the one that kicks out the ball. Doing the solenoid test, I have nothing again except as mentioned.

What would turn off all GI lighting when a game is started? And is there one thing that would cause all the solenoids to be off? Thanks

The Q & T relays at the rear of the playfield control the GI. Sounds like the switch leafs might not be positioned right, and are making/breaking contact and the wrong time.

After finding an issue with the L relay on Black Hole, I'm getting a sense Gottlieb relays are always going to be suspect. I've always been a Bally/old Stern guy, so Gottlieb systems are a real interesting....challenge. Thanks, I will check.

Oh yeah, I find them all fun to work on. Got that restoration bug again.
