I'm working the bugs (pun intended) out of this spider-man and I have one last thing that I need to fix.
When I power on the game, most of the time the tilt light comes on and the tilt relay stays engaged.

Ground mods are done, slam tilt mod done, rebuilt all connectors on boards and plugs inside the bottom cabinet.

The game will boot and play if I toggle the on/off switch a bunch of times until I get the GI lights instead of the tilt light.

Also, I'm not sure if it's related, but one of the coin switches locks the game up when pressed (displays go blank and game needs to be rebooted)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Quoted from ChrisHibler:

The switch might be grounding to coil or GI power

ok, I won't touch that anymore...

Quoted from ChrisHibler:

is there something laying inside the game

No, the tilt bob is free of all obstructions. Besides, I thought the tilt mod disabled these...

Maybe something with the battery box? (I mounted one off the board)
I know with bally/williams games, if there are no batteries, you can get the game to boot by cycling the power off/on quickly...

Quoted from ChrisHibler:

transistor that drives the tilt relay is shorted.

It tested ok, but it won't hurt to switch out to see.
I need to change a few transistors for lamps anyway. I'll change it then.

ok, it's not the transistor for the tilt relay.
I spoke to Jerry Clause about the issue. It may be caused by the reset circuit on the MPU - U1, but I need to test in another working system 80 to know for sure.

Quoted from pinwiz_pa:

Have you tried adding a 3k ohm resistor between pins 7 and 11 on TC1?

I didn't know I was supposed to... What will that do?
