    Hi All,
Wondering if anyone can help or give some insight. I have an El Dorado City of Gold. Lamp Issues. In test mode, all the controlled lamps work. My issue is, no "GI" lamps will come on. (pop bumpers, slings, etc.). Also there are no lights on in the Backbox. I can play a game though. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm having troubles figuring what controls what. I've read through some pinwiki but it is limited.
    Thanks,
    Scott

Did you check the contact at the Tilt relay under the playfield?
Does the lamp for Tilt, Ball-in-Play and Match function?

I did check the tilt relay. It's correct. So where does the GI & backbox get controlled from? MPU, driver board, just straight power?
Another question. And this is confusing to me. On the transformer board, the fuses are labels on the cover. Are these the correct order of the fuse numbers (F1, F2, etc.) underneath the cover. I'm worried that I have incorrect fuses. They start with F15-not used, then F7 down to F1, then under F1 is F8.

That is the correct order of the fuses. F8 is screwed into the transformer next to the maintenance plug. That's why F8 had the circle, it isn't on the fuse holder under the card.

Ah, that makes sense. So F15 is not used but yet there is a fuse in it? At least on my game! Thanks much...

As far as the lamp GI issue, after I get the fuse situation straight, I'll try to track a shorted socket or something..

Just an update on this situation for future reference. While getting the fuse situation straightened out, I noticed severely corroded fuse sockets on the GI & backboard light lines. Once I replaced these all lights came back to life. Cheers. Scott

Yeah it's nice when the solution is posted, so many of them are just left hanging.
