I finally received my U8 chip for my Stargate last night, plugged it in, and it worked perfectly.

This morning, I'm getting strange artifacts on certain animations and the last few digits on the score flicker.

I've tried reseating both the U8 and the Rom and all ribbon cables. This was all with the power off, BTW

Did I get a bad U8 chip? Could a ribbon cable be bad? Is something on the display board slowly frying the u8 chip?

I just went back down to play after leaving it on. It's working perfectly now. Would it make sense that it needed to warm up? What would cause that?

I believe only PBR only has U8G's right now.
I doubt it would be the U8 at this point. I would start checking connections and the power supply.
