Hi all,

This is my very first post after being a very long term lurker. I have a few pins and recently bought a project Big Hurt. I’m slowly fixing issues one by one and after rebuilding the high voltage section was thinking I was about to get the pin working but alas!!

So, the pin started into attract mode, solenoids seemed functional but the DMD and sound doesn’t work. I rebuilt the HV sections, started the pin, and some sound is audible, the DMD finally fires up but there a big problem... a transistor on the Aux Board (furthermoat lower right transistor) is glowing red and smoking. I switch it off and remove the Aux Board. I then started the pin back up, the DMD still works and for the first time allows me to go through the menu where all other hardware appears to be operating as per normal.

So the Aux Board transistor at a minimum is cooked, what appears to be the cause or at the core of my problem? I’m a bit lost and can’t find any topics which help.

I’m almost 100% certain that the connectors are correct. I’d laboured over there as I’d heard some horror stories with blowing up boards and DMDs.

Been a lazy couple of days since NYE so I’ll give it another look today and get back with extra info.
