The screws that hold the flipper shaft to the crank are set screws. You'd need to tighten them down onto the shaft while the flipper is installed, and the bat is in the proper resting position.

The set screws should be easily accessible for a wrench in their normal positions. I think you have the crank on upside down. The flat plate part should be closer to the playfield

Some can just be swapped side to side, right?
