I have had a really minor issue with my Shaq Attaq since I bought it 4-5 years ago and I decided I am going to try to track it down. The issue is that the flash dome on the left side of the card holder does not flash ever. Either during attract mode or during the game.

What I have done so far:
Put machine in all lamp test mode - no flasher
I can ground the tab on the MOSfet and the light will come on. (so bulb, wire and connector seem good)
tested Q13 MOSfet. it was .4 which seemed on the low side everything else was .5+
Q13 replaced with IRL540
I tested the resistors and diodes feeding Q13 and the readings were the same as the others used by MOSfets around it.

Is there another area I should look at? Thanks in advance for the help.

I was able to trace it down. Testing the top leg on the MOSfet I got nothing. Looking closer the top leg on the MOSfet has a pad on the topside of the circuit board that was connected to a resistor. The MOSfet was not soldered to the top pad, only the bottom pads. When I replaced the MOSfet I pulled all the solder out of the hole and did not get enough back in the hole to connect to the top pad. A little solder on the topside of the leg and circuit board and all is good. Hope this helps someone else.

If you can turn on the light by grounding the tab then it has to be the MOSfet being bad or not soldered in correctly.
