Quoted from radial_head:

Can you just throw in a standard door? Aren't the sizing and mounting points not different?

Yes, but check for any wiring differences

Not at all. System 3 and System 80b coin doors are a half inch shorter and an inch longer. Mounting points on the Gottlieb coin door are internal mounts that screw into a threaded studs planted into the door frame rather than carriage bolts through the wood holding on the coin door. They are absolutely, nothing alike.

I just took the two apart and tried to swap them, and figured I'd measure to prove my point.

System 80b and system 3 are definitely very different,

Game manuals normally show the leg size

No, they're the same. Black 2-slot coin doors on Sys80B continued into the cabinet design of Sys3.

When I said I tried swapping it for a standard coin door, I meant I swapped over from a WPC door. That's the "standard door" in my book.

Right right, that it does. 27", HOWEVER these legs that came with the game are half ribbed, which is a first for me.

OK. So search out and buy new or used legs.

So many games over the years got legs swapped between different titles/manufacturers. To some people, legs are just legs.

Can a system 3 run without a sound board, aux sound board, and dot matrix controller board? I am debating trying to get a Gladiators up and running and trying to calculate all of the costs. Those boards, apron, and back glass are all that appear to be missing. Thought maybe I would be able to see what else isn’t working.

I forgot to mention I am in the market for the following parts for Gottlieb Gladiators (System 3):
Power Supply Board
Dot Matrix Controller Board
Sound Board
Aux Sound Board
Apron
Speaker panel

Does anyone have the measurements for a speaker panel? I am going to try to build one for my Gladiators.

RetroG33K had a pretty minty one. Are you just looking for the basic LxWxH?

I pm’d them. I am open to buy, but also was considering building if I didn’t have another option. I have an svg file that was sent to me yesterday (thank you @latenite04) that I am going to print out.
