Ok so I got a pascal p1x4. Nice board.
I hooked it up and all the displays worked.
The 3rd time I booted the d segments on player 1 2 and the credit display didn't work.
Player 3 and 4 work fine.
I repinned a1-j3 and still no d segments.
I swapped player 1 and player 3 displays and still player 1 has no d segment and player 3 works fine.
Any ideas what I should try next?

Yes..."buzz" the wire from the MPU to the first display in the daisy chain which carries the "d" segment signal.

I buzzed out the pins on A1 J2 for the D segment and found the issue. I went ahead and repinned the whole connector and now everything works as expected
