If you have any local friends with other Sys1 games, it is likely you could try swapping some parts to isolate and confirm the problematic part.

I'd be inclined to agree with the previous sugestion tho, it is most likely the connector pins. Whatever you do, do not try to mess the the display connectors while they are powered on.
