I will be installing a repro playfield for a Gottlieb's System 1 (Count-Down), and it appears that these ball guide rails are very hard to take out, and in any case are a bit corroded, so I'd like to get new ones. The one I have pulled out so far seems to have a star-pattern base, and I can't recall the playfield for Outer Space (i.e., that I had done a playfield installation a LONG TIME AGO) having this base.

In any case, I'd like to get new ones. The Pinball Resource has GTB-A14571 & A18764 (the boundary between in the outlane & inlane, and the curved part that guides the ball to the flipper) for the System 1 Pinball Pool, and I would imagine that they are the same for Count-Down. However, there are also ball guide rails of 1-1/4" & 2" that are 1/2" high, and 3" that is low (i.e., near the outhole to prevent biffing), and I don't see them listed.

Is there some listing of all the possible ball lane guides?

Probably not going to find all the bits for sale.

If you are referring to the wire ball guides, those are often made from stainless steel and can be buffed back to a nice finish. I think vid had guide with some tips on removing them. A small pry bar with a block underneath can be used to gently free them. Do no get aggressive and bend them or tear up the playfield.

If you need to replace guides they can be made cheaply from stainless steel tig welding rod.

The solid strips used as guides can be stainless or sometimes chromed. The stainless parts again can be buffed back to a nice finish. Chromed parts seem to have been more common on ems and early ss games. If those are too corroded replacements can be made using stainless. Mantis sells a kit with various strips to fab your own.
