My Gottlieb adventure , it started with a trade and i ended it up with two non working sys80 projects ( MGOW , HH ). then a friend said " if you really want to go all in with sys80 " Black Hole . Haunted House has left but Devil's Dare has tahing it's place . I need help with sound because i know nothing when it comes to Gottlieb sys80 sound ( but can check for power lol ) . I would say i'm novice pinball tech , but when it come to chips 0/100 .

Here are the issues

Mars god of war
when i power on sometimes souds stuck on , on/off a few times and it"s ok

Black Hole
only speech in attract mode ( iv"e check the settings )game play no speech and sounds are not right

Devil"s Dare
sounds locks on after multi-ball

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

On Mars: God of War, set dipswitch 25 to "On".

Black Hole also has two dipswitches that need to be on, dip 25 and 26.
Dipswitch 29 and 32 however, need to be "Off".

Black Hole fixed , Pascal board was set at classic instead of speech . Rookie mistake lol . WOW what a difference .

MGOW same issue with switch #25 on or off , game has new rotten dog board but has same issue with Pascal board in it .

Thanks

Did you do the sound test on Mars?
Page 14 of the manual....

Devils Dare has the same type of test available on page 18.

Please note the warning for pin 10, which is the 30V connection!!!
This also goes for Mars.

a little late but finally got to work on those problems .

MGOW replaced 6502 on sound board and that buzzing sound when you first turn it ON is gone

DD i don't think it's the sound board . i suspect the orange I.C. sockets on MPU or a bad diode on 1 of the switches .

the game plays as it should but randomly she locks on just the back ground tune , no scoring or any other sounds . back ground sound until game over then back to normal . everything ok for maybe 1 game , then it's locked on back ground tune .

Any leads is appreciated
